What is the worst packing mistake you ever made?

There is just things us woman can’t live with out an have to pack. like a hairdryer given hotels have one. But come on they are not as powerful as the ones we have at home. So that gets packed.. and hot irons….yes men that is a necessity ,and of course some woman use special shampoo, and generic from CVS just won’t cut it..

I rarely dry my hair, we have 3 girls in this house and 1 hair dryer. It lives in the girls' bathroom. I do have curling irons but no hot iron, Cass has one but she rarely uses it. I just put my hair up, or ponytail or braid it and I'm gone.

I have to pack my makeup, too. More often then not, if I forget it and try to go buy it at the local drug store, they don't have my shade(s).

this is my luxury and I won't find what I use at a drug store, I'd have to go to Sephora in DTD if I forgot my makeup! LOL

I have a black suitcase that looks like about 2 dozen other suitcases on any given flight. So I put stripes on one end of it with blue painters' tape. I can see that baby coming down the carousel, no problem!

I always figure that if we have our medicines, our ID and credit cards, our plane and park tickets, and our cell phones with charger, then everything else is gravy!

I have a luggage tag on my bag from the HoJo, it's easy to spot. The girls have tags too, from WDTC. We normally just do carry on when we fly, but we normally drive so that's not usually a problem for us.

..im just like pwings. I don’t do drug store makeup.. I use sephora now,so if I forget one piece of makeup im bummed cause its not like I can just go out and get it, not every place has a sephora!! and I wont use drug store makeup because sephora is better!

UGH, we packed our laptop into our luggage on the way home because we couldn't be bothered carrying it in our hand luggage..............We now have a broken laptop.

Or if you have allergies to most "drug store" toiletries. Soap, shampoo, lotion, all of it needs to be packed. Add to it that I wear tall size clothes (even in mens size), so there is no running to Target for anything with long sleeves or long legs and I have a AA narrow shoe so no forgetting those either! Yeah, I pack a LOT of stuff.....

The only packing disaster I can recall was forgetting the tent PEGS on a camping trip this summer. To the coast. With 15 MPH constant wind and 30 MPH gusts. Yeah. I was lucky that there was a cabin available nearby for the weekend!

I have a special poncho that my DBF bought for me the first year we went to DLR together as a group, its one of the blue ones rather than the clear, and I take it with me every year when we go. Unfortunately, it usually goes in my suitcase rather than my carry-on, so when we check the bags into the bell desk, then head into the park, of course it starts raining!! At least 2 years I have bought an extra poncho, only to find that that the first day of our week-long trips is when it rains, dry as a bone the rest of the trip when I have access to my suitcase. So I just pull my special blue one out when I want to go on Splash Mtn and its cold at night during the fall.

Packing absolutely everything that I needed, not forgetting even the smallest thing. And then forgetting my suitcase ;-).
