What is the weather like mid to late May?

We usually go 1st week of May and have found the weather to be perfect: sunny, high 80's .... ideal for all of the water activities we love to do. However, next year, due to annual pass considerations, we are thinking of going May 9th thru May 20th. Does anyone have experience with the weather during this timeframe and, if so, how does it compare with the 1st week? Is it about the same or are you starting to see signs of the rainy/afternoon thunderstorm/muggy season by then.

We spend most of our time in SAB and the waterparks so this is an important consideration for us.

(BTW, I have posted this on another board where early indications are that the weather really does change from early May to mid/late May. Wanted to get a broader response here. Thanks)

Well, My Grandparents just came back from a 2 week trip that started May Thrid and Ended May 17. They said that it wa sa high of 90 most days and only rained around four times.

They have a condo down there and usually leave by the end of May at the latest because it usually starts to get very hot and rainy.

Hazy, HOT, and HUMID! We just got back on Monday and it was in the mid 90's every day.

We got back from WDW from Mother's Day weekend, and it was HOT!!! The humidity wasn't too bad. But the heat was enough to slow us down. It wasn't too unbearable though. With a little one, we had to slow down and take multiple breaks to drink water and make sure she was ok. But DD was having a good time and didn't seem too bothered by the heat.

Just returned, It was 90's hot and humid. This is not the norm for this time of year since we usually go early-mid May..It is normally 80's and less humid. From watching the weather last week they (weatherman) had said that the summer trend was early this year.
