What is the walking path from HRH to IOA?

What is the quickest way to walk from HRH to IOA?
I understand a path was closed some time ago. Jut wondering the best way-through the pool -then what?

Just follow the normal walking path---through the pool and turn left along the water. Once you get to the bag checkpoint just keep walking past Universal, Hard Rock, NBA City and you are there.

The only path that was closed, ages ago, is the path behind the slide that takes you to the parking lot. All the other paths are open.

Thanks Damo. So does that mean we have a longer haul to the parking lot then? We're thinking of renting a car to check out the sites at night and this is a two part vacation so we'll be packing up and moving onward after four days

It won't make any difference to the parking lot. There is still the main exit from the lobby that everyone always uses. I don't know why they had a gate at the very back of the hotel to the back of the parking lot anyways. It really isn't an issue at all.

This is our first time there so I am sure I will figure it out --but knowing where to go helps -thank you.
Also, where is the bag check? is that when leaving the hotel property to enter the citiwalk and park areas?

Yes. It is at the end of the path right before you enter Citywalk property.
