What is the TRICK to room disounts?

The last two times I've stayed at Universal, I've been asked to produce my photo ID or Driver's License at check-in. It might be worth a phone call, however, to ask if a utility bill would suffice (maybe explain that you still have an out-of-state license, but are currently living in Florida, since you do for part of the year?) Good luck. :goodvibes

We have an Annual Pass and are also Florida Residents so we get a discount for either options. They don't combine discounts but the Florida Resident discount has always been larger than the Annual Pass discount.

Just a last followup to this thread..(actually quite comical). I phoned our actual AAA office back in Dayton, Ohio on Saturday, July 10. I told her the story of the room woes and no discount. She said they only alot so many rooms with this discount so we were SOL. She did look up however and tell me that the HRH had a room available for $458 plus tax. SHE even said that was ridiculous and she wouldn't pay it...nor would I. We both had a good laugh and I hung up. :rotfl2:

I got a very nice hotel (Crowne Plaza) for $110 per night within 1 mile of USF. We will be just fine. At least I've had a good laugh over this room over the last 5 months. I plan to have a great time tomorrow regardless of where I stay. :)

Thanks for all previous help. I really appreciate it.
