This question seems to be coming up a lot lately.

What is the Super Saver Rate?

The Super Saver Rate is an online rate whereby the longer you stay, the more you save. You must stay a minimum of 3 nights to qualify for the Super Saver rate.

Stays of one or two nights do not count.

The SS rate will go up on the weekends. Your confirmation will show an average nightly rate, by averaging your weekend rates and weekday rates.

Park tickets are not included.

To see if the Super Saver Rate is available for your stay, check here:

https://universalhotels.ibe.netbooker.com/web/FrontController.nb4?module=PropertySearch&operation=AreaPropertyAvailabilitySearch&execute=yes&instanceId=96&areacode=UER&areaname=Universal%20Orlando&ChainPropertyCodes=UEHRH+UEPBH+UERPR&lookAndFeelId=969&locale=en<br />

If the Super Saver Rate is available, you will clearly see the Super Saver Rate choice to select.

If it's not there, it's not available. Keep checking to see if it will be available.

No one here can give you odds on whether or not the SS rates will be/will become available. Things like conventions can eliminate the need to offer the Super Saver rate. For example, the SS rate is available at the HRH and PBH for our trip 4/28 - 5/3. It's not available at the RPR. Possibly due to a convention? Your guess is as good as mine. Best to just keep checking.

Loews First Benefits do indeed apply (e.g., upgrades, welcome gift, etc). LF Blue: go ahead and book the SS rate online. LF Gold/LF Plat: call to book your room, tell the reservationist that you see the SS rate available online, and you want to book that and get your upgrade. Further questions re: upgrades? Look here:

Jodie, you are so helpful! We booked the SuperSaver rate for our stay June 22-26 at RPR for $207. We're Loews Gold, I booked on-line and then called and got our upgrade to water view.

Alison, so you booked online and then called to have them give you your upgrade?! Good to know things can be done that way! Thanks for sharing that. :goodvibes

No problem! Glad to help!:thumbsup2

We have a SS rate 12-23,12-26 of $259 for RPR. Do the SS rates ever change? ie. get lower? A gal can always hope right?

Thanks for this thread, Jodie. Because of this thread I got a SS rate of $207 for my stay which I had originally gotten an AAA rate of $219.60, every little bit helps! Thanks again. :thumbsup2

Hey, with tax, that's more than $14 per night savings. If you bring a car, that's like getting free parking! :thumbsup2

Several weeks ago I've booked the room for 8/29-9/2 at Super Saver Rate. But today I found that SSR by this time is not available for these dates. Is my reservation still secured and garanted?

I think if you booked it with an SSR it still holds, they might have all be taken by now but yours should be secured. I think the way it works that they set a certain amount of rooms at the SSR and when they are gone, the SSR is taken off. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. HTH :thumbsup2

Like any other rate (AAA, APH) SuperSaver is only earmarked for "x" amount of rooms....once those rooms are sold out at SS rate, they are usually gone.... The rest is available at whatever they designate the rate to be available at.

IF you booked SS rate, and have a confirmation number, take the confirmation printout with you....You are entitled to the rate you booked and they confirmed.

What I found is that lately, it is hard to get a SSR for 4 days, but 3 days will work. Last weekend, I could get the 4 days I wanted, but did not book since I had to locate my Loews First card. When I went to book it on Tuesday, I could only book three days. The fourth day is available, but only if I book it with two days (not sure if that makes sense??) So I can get any of the days I want in a 3 day rate, but not all four together. I called, and they still could not do anything. It doesn't make sense to me, since all they will be losing out on is us staying a forth day. Oh well. We are staying club too. I booked the 3 days and will stay at whatever hotel we pick out for the Sea World/Discovery Cove part of the trip for an extra day and one less day at Universal.
