What is the Rose Ceremony? ( also a message about my locked "cute chicky" thread )

I've seen this mentioned on the boards before but I have no clue what it is?

Also, I had a thread this morning that I posted saying that there were so many beautiful women on the DISboards and I left for work. When I got home it was 5 pages long with alot of bickering and it was locked. So I just wanted to let everyone know that I didn't intentionally put it up expecting to cause problems. Its just something I've been noticing when I read posts and see people with pics as their sigs as to how many "hot chickys" there are around here. Again, sorry for the confusion it caused earlier.

The rose ceremony is MsDisney 23 who had a transplant and the 21 is the two year anniversary. She will be placing a rose in honor of the person to whom she received her organ from.

If you're not sure what this is all about, then why assume people were being nasty? It was locked because the moderator felt it less than appropriate and because it was off topic.

OP, the thread was locked...can we move on without starting another thread about it?
