what is the right choice

you are right I am a dreamer my dream is to save the world and yet I know it is not realistic however I can apply for a job I have 1 or 2 on my list and I can give the paycheck to my mom to pay who ever my mom hires

Your sentiment is good, however, the cost of her care is WAY more than you can make working at Walmart even FULL time. Plan on her care costing around $150-200/day, maybe more if she needs 24 hour care. It just isn't realistic to work full time and take care of someone with needs like your Grandma has full time. You will have ZERO time to do anything and eventually that will cause MAJOR problems with your health, your relationships, etc. It just isn't a good idea for ANYONE to take on this kind of responsibility.

She lives in Melberne FL
She gets SS

She is going to move in with Mike and I
I don't know who else whould

Given that she lives off social security she will most likely qualify for Medicaid and can get placed in a nursing home. That is really the best and safest option all the way around if she needs 24 hour care. Call her county social services and ask to speak to someone about getting an elderly woman qualified for Medicaid. You can also look up online to see if there is an Ombudsman for seniors in her area. They will be able to walk you through the process.

I pray for your grandmother's sake that your mother continues to look out for her best interest.

Your mention of her monthly SS check (or foster parenting) and wanting her to move in with you sends up a big red flag. We've only heard about money, or why YOU want to do this, not why you think her living with you would best meet HER needs.

If she hasn't had one already, grandmother needs a full assessment by a medical team that specializes in geriatric issues. That team will include a social worker who can help determine where the best place for grandma is to go. You can present your plan then as one option.

Grandmother, wherever she goes, needs an advocate looking out just for her. Anything less than that leaves her very vulnerable.

Okay--that is near where I live.

Did you know that there is a facility called SarahCare on US1 in Melbourne. I believe it is on the West side of US1, I think close to Hibiscus in a brand new building strip. IT essentially is an adult day care facility. So if your grandmother is somewhat functional but requires the supervision in the event something happens to it, this may be an option for you.

I know nothing else about them.

http://sarahcare.com/

In quickly viewing their website, it seems they do offer extensive services. They say their monthly cost is a little over $1000 per month. But I don't know what that involves or if they can accept insurance.

Check it out anyway. Knowledge is power and knowing this is an option--even if you only use it once in a while, might help you.

ETA: They evidently can help you in seeking ways to pay for the care:
There are a variety of sources for financial assistance ranging from long-term care insurance to programs offered by the Area Agency on Aging and the Veterans Administration. SarahCare® will assist you in identifying appropriate funding options.

* Financial Assistance varies at each center, please contact your local center.
