Noticed lots of vulgar shirts this morning at MK. It was so bad we left. What is MK's policy on this as many were inappropriate for a park full of kids.

They're not supposed to be allowed in, but what's vulgar to you may not be defined as vulgar by Disney or the CMs.

Personally, I wouldn't let what someone else is wearing spoil my time on a very expensive vacation, and chase me out of the park.

Curious, what kind of 'vulgar' are we talking about? It's Gay Days right now and today's park is MK. They'll often wear "loud and proud" shirts, but usually nothing totally inappropriate.

I've never even seen one vulgar shirt at Disney. I've probably never noticed because I'm too busy having fun. I can't imagine anything that would make me LEAVE a park. If something was terribly offensive I would probably point it out to a CM but even that would have to be REALLY bad.

What was on the shirts you're referring to?

Worst I've seen is some kids wearing socks with weed leafs on it. Not vulgar at all but questionable for how young they were.

Disney, nor Universal, allow people in the park with blatant curse words on their shirt. Even during Halloween Horror Nights I saw a guy try to enter with a shirt that said "**** Yea Friday" and security made him turn around and come back with a different shirt.

I'm assuming the words you might've seen weren't full on vulgar words. Maybe something you don't agree with but allowed by Disney. Curious as to what they had

please let us know what the shirt said and then we may be able to shine some light.
I have not seen any vulgar shirts in my 18 years coming to the parka but I have seen plenty of questionable tattoos...exposed female body parts, to me not necessarily vulgar but to some this might be crossing the line

Legitimate question. What is vulgar? I would assume if it can't be on network TV during the family hour it shouldn't be at Disney. l

My nephew was entering Hollywood Studios a few years ago and was told he had to change his shirt or turn it inside out if he wanted to enter. His shirt said "Suck it, Trebek"

A few examples are two male stick figures holding hands with the saying "we do it hard" another example was the "****" emoji above two male stick figures holding a rainbow flag with the saying "it happens wipe it off". The stick figure shirt was rampant this morning and there are variations that include the female stick figure.

I'm sorry but I feel this is just totally inappropriate attire when there are children all over and I'm constantly being asked by my 9 year old what this and that shirt means.

well, in my personal case I see nothing vulgar about it other than interpretation, and yes, that's probably worn for shock value or just as a chuckle moment.
WDW is one of the more inclusive places to visit on Earth, you can be sure that Disney is screening clothing and behavior at all times, so if they were let inside Disney did not see a problem.

:wave2: Please follow the DIS guidelines when posting. The board software has a filtering function and it's best to fully type out words and allow the filter to do its thing.

Words that are written with letter-symbol substitutions are considered filter violations due to circumventing the "filter." Thanks!

Eh. I have a 7 year old, and neither of those would make me leave the park. If she asked me what "We do it hard" means, I'd just tell her it means they're excited about everything they do. As for the other one, unless you read it with sexual intonation, can just mean everybody poops, you wipe and move on.

Security has always done a good job for 45 years in this area. I'd really have to see these shirts to have any opinion on if they are being a little more relaxed today or not.

Let it go. Since there is no cursing or obscene graphics on the shirts, a person's response to them requires interpretation. I suggest not mentioning or interpreting the shirts to your kids.

It's hard to imagine that on a trip to a magical place like Disney World, your 9 year-old's primary interest is the wording on strangers' t-shirts. I suspect the child's "constant" questioning is primarily related to your reaction to the shirts (especially if they've been made to leave the park because of it.)

If you refrain from mentioning/complaining about it, & redirect any questions ("I don't know dear, I'm not interested in reading strangers' t-shirts"), I'm sure your child will focus on the joy of being at WDW. And maybe you will, too.
