What is the one....

Don't know that I would postpone a trip, but we'd all be pretty distraught if the Haunted Mansion was closed!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

There's nothing I wouldn't postpone a trip for in reality,

However I will play along, if it was easy and affordable to change dates based on a ride being up for refurb, I think it would be Expedition Everest. I love that ride.

We are going in May also and I hate to tell you this, but I have seen two threads on this board where the people say that BTMR will not open until August. I hope that is wrong but I have a bad feeling.

I wouldn't postpone a trip for any specific ride. Maybe if it were a few of my favorites at once, but I don't see that happening.

I would reschedule only if it was a combination of refurbs going on at the same time affecting: ToT, BTMR, SM and EE in any combination of two or more. I can visit and be happy with one of them down, but if more than one of my favorites were down I'd reschedule without a second thought.

This is the situation we may be in. TT and BTMR being closed at the same time, but who knows...... I just wish WDW would let people know something already :confused3 These are two of the rides DS will ride. (he doesn't do the other thrill rides Space Mt, RNR) He said he would try EE and TOT this year, but we'll see, he may chicken out.

There isn't one. There are a few rides I really want to ride again (well mostly all of them!) but it is such a huge holiday for us that I try not to have a "my holiday wouldnt be complete without ......" ride as knowing my luck something would happen to it! :lmao:

Wouldn't you worry that you rescheduled your holiday and something happened and the ride was down anyway?

We'd never postpone or reschedule a trip because of a ride being down for refurbishment. In fact, we've been on multiple trips where any one of our favorite rides have been down at the time.

Now if our beloved Poly resort was to be closed, we wouldn't be happy, but would find somewhere else to stay for that trip.

My favorite ride is Haunted Mansion. While I wouldn't be happy if it was down, I cant see not going.

There isn't any one single ride. But a combination of factors would have me rethinking.

This January would have been one of those times. What with all the construction in MK (including scrims, walls, and the castle crane), MSEP dark, Fantasmic dark, Big Thunder down, Dumbo and Barnstormer closed and the new ones not open yet, and Kali down..... well, if it had been just a "normal," "Hey let's go to Disney on xyz week" type of trip, I would have rescheduled.

As it was, though, it was a special birthday trip for my daughter. And MSEP going dark and the scrims and crane weren't known until way beyond the point I could do anything about it... the trip was already booked, paid for, flights arranged, and MIL and I both had vacation approved from work.

That being said, I am so glad we DIDN'T reschedule, because it turned into the best trip so far. Dd got sprinkled with pixie dust everywhere we went, the weather was perfect, and we had soooooo much fun. It was just a fantastically magical trip.

I can't think of a single ride that I would reschedule over, however DH says he might if Soarin' was being refurbed.

There isn't one. I have my favorites. I have the attractions that I really REALLY look forward to doing/seeing. But in the grand scheme, Disney is a place where you really need a long time to truly see everything (longer than a single vacation I can realistically take at one time). So, I won't have a trip where I get to see/do everything I want to do. Sure, there may be a disappointment at missing one of my favorites. But I now that there are so many other things to do that I'll still have a wonderful time.

If Haunted Mansion was closed, I'd reschedule. Same with Soarin. Can't do Disney without those two.

Haunted Mansion.

I don't know that my trip would feel complete without at least one trip through. Rode it at least 6 last trip.

If it were down, you might find me camped out by the hearse, praying for soft-openings!

If RnR and ToT were down, my daughter would have zero interest in a Disney trip so I'd reschedule. She'd probably want us to extend the Universal part of our trip and that would be great with me.

There isn't one ride that would make me reschedule but I'll admit to being quite annoyed at the clustered rehabs lately. It seemed like just about every corner of the parks were under construction in January - Fantasyland, the crane over the castle, the paving work in Frontierland, no electrical parade, the big blue box over the bakery, BTM and Dumbo closed, construction on the African animal trail and around the Oasis, Kali closed, Fantasmic dark, etc. That was too much all at once in my opinion, even by off season standards. And I'm not thrilled about how May is shaping up either - "10" crowds and two headliners down for rehab  - but on this trip the rides are secondary to the event we're attending so it isn't such a big deal.

Now, if we were talking about Disneyland there are a few that would make me postpone - Indy, Small World, Haunted Mansion, Space Mt - because I really want to ride the DL versions and that isn't a place we're able to visit frequently the way we can WDW.

If Tower of Terror was down I would be VERY upset, but I wouldn't cancel! Like others have said, it would just make me come back sooner! :thumbsup2

HM......I ride it about 5 to 6 times everytime I go.....you know I have to go see my ghost friends while I am there or my trip is just not the same....this is my first trip back after the last refurb...can not WAIT to see the new HM!!!!!
