what is the most under-rated 1 TS place to Eat?

For most underrated I'd have to say Yak and Yeti at AK or Turf Club at SSR. Both have wonderful food, great service, and for some reason aren't talked about a lot on the boards.

Agree on Kona and Y&Y. But the Wave menu scares me. Wheat this and healthy that. Is it really that good?

Another vote here for the Kona! It's our usual last day lunch before we head to the airport, although I have also done Wolfgang Puck Express for B, L and D and recommend it as well! The butternut squash soup is worth the trip to Downtown Disney alone!!!

Our best lunch all week was at The Wave. I was a bit leery when we walked in and the place was deserted but it was GREAT!! I had the lettuce wraps which were delicious and put those at Y&Y to shame, my reuben was one of the best that I have ever eaten anywhere, DH still raves about the crab cakes, he loved the Bison burger, the kids loved the grilled fish and chicken and the dessert trios were great.

We honestly didn't find anything overly healthy or strange.

I also think that Cape May is underrated...IMO, it offers one of the best buffets in all of Disney. The character breakfast is yummy and, but not as hectic as Chef Mickey's, but the dinner buffet is FANTASTIC, especially with the unlimited crab legs.

I almost feel like I shouldn't be reading this post because I'm trying to whittle down my list and I keep seeing new places that I hadn't thought of that I now want to add to my list.

Maybe I should make 2 lists. Next trip and the trip after.

Totally forgot about Cape May! Although, we were not dinner fans (I think we hit it on an off night), we felt like their breakfast buffet was far superior to those of CP, CM and TH.

I will agree with you in part and disagree with you in part (only opinion). What I do agree with you is for dinner it is a decent buffet and you are right, you cannot beat the unlimited crab legs.

As for breakfast; I think the character interaction is the best in all of WDW at Cape May, outstanding. However, other than having some very fresh fruits I found the rest of the breakfast offerings to be...... well........ very run of the mill average breakfast buffet (notice I did not say it's bad). I guess if it had a fresh omelet station and I was a breakfast eater I might think differently.

Sanaa. It's not close to any parks except Animal Kingdom, and many guests think the food offerings are too "weird." But it's my favorite place to eat at WDW at the moment.

This. I would add that I find Sanaa to have the most across-the-board professional yet genuinely friendly servers.

The Grand Floridian Cafe is a close second as far as hidden gems go.

I would say:
Sanaa and Marrakesh for lack of attention in these boards
Kouzzina for the mixed reviews.

I would have included The Wave after our 2009 trip, but the service we had at lunch in 2010 was so disappointing that I can't recommend. :sad2: We were there for 1.5 hours, just to have apps and entrees, no dessert, because they were completely overwhelmed with huge groups of conventioners. Hardly "overlooked" when the place was packed with folks on convention there .

I agree Maya Grill, we had the most wonderful dinner there and only one other family in the restaurant! I would also agree with Captain's Grill, we were there for a late lunch and could not believe that there was no one there. The crab cakes were outstanding. I would not go to WDW without a meal there.
We also had a delicious meal at the very under-rated (IMHO) Boatwright's Hall!
The boat trip there and back and a horse drawn carriage ride, really nice.
The lounge at POR is nice too, when there's no entertainment.:rolleyes1

I think Sanaa or Kouzzina are my two favorite underrated restaurants, but I also love Kona and Grand Floridian Cafe. It's so hard to just pick one!
