What is the most rebellious thing you've ever done?

Two things spring to mind...

When I was in first grade, they were doing eye exams in our classroom. Some of my friends, who'd just got theirs done, came back to tell me that the eye doctor touched their eye with his finger. I was terrified and did not want him doing that to me. I hung out in the back of the room and waited. Finally, my teacher asked for anyone who hadn't had theirs done to raise their hand. I kept mine down. I felt guilty about that for years!

When I was around 17 two friends and I drove around at night, stole For Sale signs from people's yards and put them in other people's yards. We thought it was hilarious.

I'm actually thinking of a couple more things, but my mother reads this board, so I'll stop now.

Spring break in Ft. Lauderdale, senior year of high school. That's about all I can say on this board. :smooth:

I have excellent handwriting, so I used to write notes for my friends to turn into school so they could get out early. The school always assumed it was their moms that wrote them. :rotfl2:

Um... we did that to a neighbor a couple of years ago, and I am over 40!

This is so stupid, but here goes.

I went to Catholic elementary school and for 8 years, we had to wear navy blue knee high socks with our uniforms and we always hated it. We always wished they would just allow us to wear white bobby socks. What was the big deal? We would look so cool!

So, on our last day of 8th grade, we all "rebelled" and wore white bobby socks to school. We were all sent to the principals office and given a "talking to" but it was our last day of school so who cared?

Anyway, the next year, there was a different principal (a woman, btw) and she changed the dress code to white bobby socks!! AAH!!!!!!

Oh, well - guess we left an impression :rotfl:

I met a guy on an airplane. A week later, he asked me out on a tremendous date, 24 hours long: black tie ball, late night clubbing, camping under the stars, five star brunch ...

in Utah.

I went. Flew out from New Jersey. GREAT memory.
Don't tell Mom. ;)

In high school I realized that my last three classes did not take attendance and send it in so I skipped out a lot.

I am old so I was in the work force in the 60s when women were still supposed to wear a dress even though the men could (and did) wear anything at my company. I wore a pant suit on the day of my performance appraisal. My boss said nothing at the time but a couple of months later asked me when I was going to start wearing a dress again - I told him I'd wear a dress when he wore a tie.

Same company, same boss - I applied for the tuition reimbursement plan for an MBA program. My boss told me that it had to be job related and management was not job related for a woman. (I am not making this up.) I went to the VP of our division whose wife was a professor of mathematics at the university I wanted to attend, and it got approved.

I don't always wear matching socks. Drives DH crazy.

I think I'm rebelling right now:

I am in a serious relationship with a man 19 year older than I.

And I turn 22 in 3 weeks (do your own math).

And he has a 17 year old son (we get along great), has been married twice. :rolleyes1

My family is freaking out and hates the situation (been 6 months)

Hey, it's an amazing relationship with care, understanding, fun and love. Nothing wrong with that-

Nothing much. When I was 16, I pierced my own ear after my mother told me no. Came home one night, iced it down, soaked a couple of piercing studs in alcohol, and popped them through. 2 piercings. My mother didn't notice for a week.

Too funny I did that- but it was a single double piercing on my left ear- told my boyfriend jokingly that I was going to do that- and he went on and on about how no I wasn't -so of course I went home that night and did it - iced down the ear sterilized the needle had a cork to run it through- and popped in a stud...

Took two weeks for anyone to notice that I had done it.- My sister saw first and commented that something was on my ear- my parents could care less but thought I was nuts for doing it at the time...

There were plenty of other slightly more daring things I did
