Hi,
First, I hope I am posting this to the right forum.
I am trying to plan our budget for our Jan. 2003 trip to WDW.
I am considering staying at one of the DTD hotels- Hotel Royal Plaza vs. staying at a Disney Value Resort.
There is so much to consider but finances are primary.
I was just wondering:
If you have ever stayed at the HRP, and, if so, what was the best rate you ever received?
Thanks,

I know this isn't the one you asked about.... but Courtyard in Downtown Disney we stayed at for $75 a nite. I know they have had some awesome specials at different times-half that rate or so but those rooms are limited and go quickly when they do appear. There is also an entire new Marriott gated village with Fairfield, Courtyard & Springhill Suites right across the I from DD area. I believe they have their own shuttles which might be a lot nicer than the ones that go to the DD hotels. If I were staying there again, I would just drive my own car to the parks!

We stayed there for $99. It is a BEAUTIFUL hotel. The rooms are very nice (we were in the tower), but the pool is very plain. It was very convenient because my husband was there for business meetings off property (he drove the car and we took the buses to the parks). We also spent a few days at SeaWorld and Universal, so it was nice and close to I4.

We usually stay on property, but the All Stars were sold out and there were no specials at the moderates. I would do it again if the price was right, but there is more 'theming' and more to do at the All Stars.

We stayed there last November for $46 a night. We had a standard room. Originally I had used the code from Mousesavers for $65 a night. But then I found out (through these boards) that there was a special--buy 2 nights ($69 a night) get 1 free. I called the hotel and rebooked. I ended up paying $46 a night. We stayed for 7 nights.
I think we got that rate because of 9/11.
