My mom once dated a guy named Harry Legg. Had she married him, she would have been Peg Legg.

I went to college with a vietnamese guy named Hapi Dong. He had his name legally changed, which really upset his parents!

Maybe urban legend time, but my college roommate's aunt was an OB nurse in a Cleveland hospital, and one of her patients wanted to name her daughter "Placenta" because she heard it in the delivery room! They talked her out of it!

A Korean guy from work was Yung Mon Suk.

Many years ago I worked in customer service at a pest control company and we had a customer call in to schedule her regular monthly service, when asked her name she replied, Mrs. Harry Dickensheets. At the time I thought it was quite a funny name and I remember thinking if that was my DH's name I would go by my own name. Now in the community I live there is a person named Larry Growcock, sure glad his parents didn't name him Harry instead. I've also known a Candy Glass.
