what is the family magic tour?

I haven't done the tour either, but I do have one booked for May. It was $25/person (-10% with Disney Visa). I don't think that there were any age restrictions. I'm taking ds (turning 5 that day) and dd (10). Ds (13) and dh are skipping it.

It is a 2 hour treasure hunt-type tour of the Magic Kingdom. The CM that booked it for me, told me to be prepared to act a bit silly at times.

At the end, one of the characters comes out to spend some time and take the group on one of the rides.

Many have said that it was the highlight of their trip. I'll let you know in May.

We have done the tour twice - it's great! It's basically a scavenger hunt through the MK. It's definitely best with younger kids (ours were around 5-6 when we did it). Note not all adults need to sign up - you can still follow along with a camera (which is worth it!).

If you go at a slow time of year, you will get to go on a ride or two. We went in September this year and there was only one other family on the tour. We got to ride Pirates and then Peter Pan took the two girls on the tour on his ride. How cool is that! If the tour has a lot of folks or the park is busy, you don't get to do that, but it's still pretty cool.
