What is the earliest you've been allowed

to check-in at a Universal Resort? Seems like people are always mentioning how long they had to wait for a room after the regular check-in time.

the earliest we've checked in...was around 6:45am.
our room was actually ready too.

You can check in as early as you want. You get a room key. If your room isn't ready , they will call you and let you know when it is. In the meantime, you have a room key to get your FOTL access all day.

Last time it was 7:45 a.m. and that was for a suite. I requested and was granted late check out so it felt like we had an extra day. I have had to wait until 5 p.m. on a different occasion.

1:30. It is so nice when the room is ready when you get there. We usually go on non-peak times so have never had a check-in problem.

We always go in September and have never had to wait for a room...We always go to WDW first for a few days, then check out at 8 or 9am and drive to Universal to start our day there when the parks open.

We have always gotten our room as soon as we got there except for last year...we checked in on a Friday afternoon and it was at 1pm. Our room was ready then, as well.

We checked in at the RPR 2 weeks ago at about 8:15 AM...girls wanted their FOTL passes for the parks....room was not ready (we were staying on the concierge floor), but they told me I was welcome to wait in the concierge lounge (I wasn't going to the parks)....concierge told me the room was ready shortly before noon. It was a nice suprise because I figured I would be in the lounge (which was actually a delightful place anyways) until 3 or 4 PM.

we were told we could check in anytime after 5am but they do not guarantee the room ready 'til late afternoon (4pm i believe)...

now getting the room has varied.

it is guarenteed to be ready by 4 pm.

only the last trip i had to wait to 3:55 for my room.
all other times i have checked in, gone to the park, called the hotel and had my room number by 1 in the afternoon.

your room key will be programmed so all you have to do is leave the park and go directly to your room. no stopping at the front desk to activate your room card key. it is done when they assign your room.

We did have a problem this year. We had three rooms. When we arrived around 12pm none of our rooms were ready which we expected. We sat by the pool for the afternoon. By 3pm, my sons room was ready so we all hung out there. By 4:10, our room was ready but our daughters wasn't, the front desk said they were shampooing the rug??? Well, my husband complained since we all had reservations for dinner that night and they gave her another room. Not sure why they couldn't just do that from the beginning, but she ended up getting room 1625 and it turned out to be a gorgeous view of the park.

pray your room is NOT ready at 4.

then you ususally are given many complimentary things to sweeten your mood.
if you don't ask, you won't receive a thing.

if you are a loews platinum card holder, i believe you can have either a 3 or 4:00 check out time. i have the gold card and use the late check out at 2:00 each time.

the rooms you received might have been some that had the late check outs.

This trip my room was not ready till 4:30. This is the first time we stayed club level, and thank goodness for those wonderful club concierges. They really made it ok, even though I was not too happy with the RPR this trip.

I am loews platinum - late check out is 2pm

I checked into HRH about 8 am and my room was not ready till about 3pm. The next weekend I checked into the Portofino and my room was ready when I got there... I think that was around noon. I never asked for late checkout either time... I always had a new destination to get to.
