Does anyone know how early or how late you can request that housekeeping clean your room? Ideally our room will be serviced by the time we return for a mid-day break, but sometime in the late afternoon / early evening would be o.k. for us, too.

I didn't know you could do that:confused3 ............. I thought they cleaned when they wanted to clean according to their schedule.

They are usually there from 8:00am till about 3:30 or 4. If you are STILL in the room, when they come by, just tell them to come back at such and such time and see if they will oblige or not.;)

From experience, MK was there one day when we returned about 3:30PM. We were shocked because the latest on any prior trip or trip since we was 1PM when we returned and they were just finishing up.

That's what I thought til my trip to CSR last year. I found out the hard way on these boards when I came back & said about my room not being done for a few days that it was my "fault" for not requesting a specific mousekeeping time. That was the first I had heard of it. They showed up during naptime & we asked them to come back, which they never did on a few of the days. Now I know to ask for it to be done before naptime.

I know when I call for early Mousekeeping, I was offered a 12pm cleaning and I took that one. They might have had others but I'm not sure. I use early Mouekeeping a lot because I come back from the parks with my DD around 1:30pm or so and I like for the room to be cleaned then.

Not sure about how late you can request. I have seen folks cleaning a room as late as 4pm or so.

Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

Housekeepers generally work from 8am to 4:30pm. If you don't want service, place the do not disturb sign out and they are required to not knock on the door or enter the room. It is possible to get late service (after 5pm)but it typically won't be a full service, just a 'trash n tidy'. Housekeepers generally try to get the check outs done first so they are ready for the guests coming in, and then work on the occupied rooms. It's a big dance for them because they are at the mercy of the guest's schedules. The best thing to do is to find the housekeeping manager and work with them to find a good time to clean.

Housekeepers knocked on our POR every morning around 8:20 am (We could just about set our watches by it.) despite having the "do not disturb" card in the door. Because our teenager is a late sleeper, our room usually was made-up in the later afternoon hours. This was last week, July 14-22.
