What is the difference in a LO and a Dedicated 2 bdrm?

I understand one is a studio and one is an actual bedroom but I have read that some people want a Lock off room...why ??

just want to be sure I am not missing somethign here as I am goign to be booking a 2 bdrm on our trip. are there doors between all the rooms for privacy?

Some get a Lock-Off because of the make up of their group. If you were to be traveling with another couple or family, the studio would be like them having their own villas since it has a kitchenette and it's own door out of the villas.

I'm getting several two bedroom lockoffs for a trip next year. Those occupying the studio portions are adults (are very late teens). THis gives them the ability to come and go as they please, and as the previous poster said, a kitchenette if they have different hours than those in the one bedroom portion. If they want to get up earlier and make coffee or have a Danish, they can do so without disturbing someone sleeping on the pull outs in the living room of the one bedroom portion.

A lockoff also has it's own separate HVAC thermostat and equipment in the studio portion of the room.

We've gotten a dedicated 2 BR because our guests requested they have 2 beds in the room (not a pull out). We've gotten a lock off because we were staying longer than our friends and after they left, we were able to remain in the 1 BR section and the studio was 'locked off' for some other family.
All have doors to the bedrooms.

On the flip side, if you have children you probably would not want to put them in a room with a separate exit.
