When reviewing "preferred" parks on UndercoverTourist, and Easy WDW, they have totally different parks recommended. Anyone know a rhyme or reason and which is more accurate vs. crowds? TIA
I don't know about UCT but on easywdw, Josh always gives detailed explanations about his recommendations. When different planning sites have conflicting information, I tend to follow easywdw. I have done really well for a number of past trips using his recommendations and cheat sheets.
There was a thread on here where Josh and Len Testa of touringplans and The Unofficial Guide were discussing their sources. I won't link to it, but basically Josh is pretty accurate about the overall crowds in the parks where touringplans gets it current data from people who report on times using their Lines app. Touringplans estimates its crowd calendar based on average waits in lines instead of overall number of people in the park on a given day. Both are good.
I have no idea where UT gets his data. He may have his own source, or he may just use Josh's or Touringplan's data with a bit of his own secret sauce as many bloggers do.
Josh of Easywdw is the best crowd prognosticator out there bar none.
Touring Plans is so bad ((I used to hate (when I actually attempted to use them for LCP) how TP would change the LCP or Most Recommended Park as my trip date neared)). They won't even commit to a least crowded park anymore. Like their Lines app though...
UCT is small peanuts in the crowd prediction venue.
