What is the Current Rack Rate Discount for Members?

I just got off the phone with MS and he just gave me a dollar figure of the price of a room with my member's discount but did not give me the discount percentage.
I want to play around with some dates without being on the phone with MS so would like to know if anyone here knows the actual discount percentage off we get?

You can always go the the Disney website and see what the room only price would be for the night(s) in question. From there you can see how much the discount is and back into the discount %.

I know this doesn't give you a quick and easy answer of X% off, but should get you there.

I know but from the price I was quoted and the rack rate for the dates I gave him, I get about 27%. That seems like an odd discount.
I thought there was info on a set percentage discount somewhere. I can't find it on the member's site.

It's 25%.

I called back MS and spoke with someone else. THey told me it's 20-25%. I asked what the difference in the discount is and was told "availability".

this may sound like a silly question but what is rack rate discount? im a DVC owner and have been for 3 years i have only booked with points since buying but next year thinking off a vacation that may need more points than we have if we take family and i dont want to borrow, is it a disc that you get off standard prices and can it only be used by members or could we use it to book for family?

DVC will rent the rooms available to them for cash in some situations (member traded for DCL, etc). As a rule it's either the rack rate OR a 25% discount. I haven't heard of anyone getting any other price other than with rounding.
