What is the conversion of 3,000 meters??

HI DIS runners,


There's a kid's running race that I know of this weekend --- one race is 3,000 meters. I called the fellow in charge and he didn't know the conversion either.

Anyone knows?

well 5K (5000 meters) is 3.1 miles....


so by my math...3000 is 1.86 miles.
