What is the CANADA pavilion at Epcot missing?

Make sure the clinic is AFTER the display of Don Cherry's suits. Clinic should include FP's with return times about 6-8 weeks away.

I would also suggest that they coat the walkways with artificial ice so the rest of the world can learn to walk like a Canadian. Would drive even more traffic for the free medical clinic. :lmao:

:thumbsup2:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Other than getting rid of those ridiculous lumberjack/jill outfits I agree with others about putting a Timmies in the pavilion (or at least selling the coffee in the shop) ... as well, how about selling things only available in Canada like Ketchup Chips and Coffee Crisps, and maybe butter tarts, Smarties, McIntosh toffee bars and Red Rose tea :)

How about have the keg sponsor the restaurant, and have both maple creme brule and billy miner pie on the desert menu

I agree with your whole post.

And there HAS to be hockey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hockey is awesome! :goodvibes

The army vet who adopted the bear cub was from Winnipeg and named the cub after the city. The cub was found in Ontario and moved to the London Zoo. Pretty well known info in Winnipeg where Milne and his son Robin saw him.

:thumbsup2 And really "WINNIE" WINNIPEG....You have to see that connection.

*drool* I miss the real red rose tea. used to get it all the time when I was younger and would visit family in PEI . I miss having family in canada!

also I would LOVE a tim horton's! my prof used to go to Ottawa all the time from Vermont and would bring back things for my class as a treat. so good.

The funny thing is they area great example of how we can lampoon and laugh at our own stereotypes of being Canadian.

Just like how the Rant by Molson Canadian is one of the most remembered beeer commercials in Canada.

Hey.
I'm not a lumberjack, or a fur trader, and I don't live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dog sled, and I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada, although I'm certain they're really, really nice.
I have a Prime Minister, not a President. I speak English and French, not American, and I pronounce it 'about', not 'a boot'.
I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack. I believe in peacekeeping, not policing; diversity, not assimilation; and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.
A touque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch, and it is pronounced zed: not zee – zed!!
Canada is the second largest land mass! The first nation of hockey! And the best part of North America!
My name is Joe!! And I am Canadian!

Brings a tear to your eye... doesn't it.

To correct a couple things in this discussion:
- Tim Hortons was briefly (as in a few years) owned by Wendys but was spun off as a separate company and re-incorporated in Canada.
- Hockey and Lacrosse are both Canada's national sports. Hockey was added in 1994. Prior to that Lacrosse had been the sole national sport. Hockey is the national winter sport and lacrosse is the national summer sport (http://www.pch.gc.ca/pgm/sc/legsltn/n-16-eng.cfm)

How about a book and cd boutique with a listening booth. We have great artists in Canada, not just Celine Dion. :rotfl: Maybe a little Cirque du Soleil merchandise.

I agree about poutine, but they would need to do it with real cheese curds. How about fries drizzled in maple syrup? Or a sugar bush-type meal.

I sure missed my Tim when we were at Disney. The first thing I did arriving at the Ottawa airport was to get a coffee from their stand. :thumbsup2

I loved that they were selling those Maple Leaf cookies - they are so good.

I agree! Poutine with real cheese curds, not shredded cheese or cheese sauce!!! :scared1:

I might be the only canadian that never goes to Tim Horton's. :rotfl: Sorry, I am not a coffee drinker.

Tims has a delicious Turkey Bacon Club sandwich and really yummy soups too! Also their hot chocolate and ice caps are so good! You don't have to love coffee to love Tim Hortons! ;)

fun story about poutine.

I lived for a while right on the quebec border and my ex was from quebec so i know my poutine! all the local burger places sold it, however, where i live in MA not many do if any. So i'm at my local soccer game against I -think- Toronto FC. a bunch of the press people from the team go into the fast food restaurant at the marketplace and ask for poutine with the fries. The guy behind the counter looked SO confused. So they asked again. No luck. i felt bad.

Me either. Nothing wrong with Timmie's but I just can't afford to buy coffee daily. I just make it at home. And honestly I think McDonald's coffee is better than Tim's.

Coffee drinker or not, I am sure you would agree that Tim Horton's is uniquely Canadian.

See I'm not so sure I agree with this. There is nothing unique about Tim's. I mean sure it's a decent coffee shop but there's nothing unique about it. :confused3 Just a coffee shop. Coffee is just as good at Starbucks.

Poutine! :thumbsup2 Been living in Florida for 8 months now, boy do I miss it

Ooh! Beaver Tails would be awesome too!

For subsets of coffee that include "road tar".
Somebody once offered to buy me a coffee. I thanked her, and waited while she went across the lot to the Tim's.
She was gone a long, long time. "Boy", I thought, "the lineup at Timmy's must be insane today."
Finally she returned....with a Starbucks from across town. "Oh, boy", I thought, "I'm finally going to get to try this stuff."
She said it was a double-double, or whatever the Starbuck's equivalent is. I tasted it and sputtered. "I think they messed this up", I said. "There seems to be neither cream nor sugar in this." She said she'd watched them put both in. I added some sugar and a whack of cream and it still tasted fantastically bitter. Down the drain it went.
No offense--if you like Starbucks, that's okay. But please don't try to tell me their coffee is ANYTHING like Tim Hortons'.

I do agree 100%

I love Starbuck's, but it is NOTHING like Tim Horton's (which I love as well)...Plenty opf coffee love to go around. :lovestruc

Agreed. Starbucks coffee is no where as good as Tims coffee.

But I have to say I LOVE the Starbucks equivilant of a mocha...much better than the Tims version.
