What is the better flight time?

For us, 90% of the decision would come down to who was traveling. If it was our entire family (including 2 kids with 8-9 pm bedtimes and 1 teenager), there is no way we'd do the midnight arrival. The younger 2 would be miserable, get a lot less sleep than usual, and would start a trip that wears us out (and always results in slightly later than planned bedtimes!) already worn out. But if it was adults and teens who can stay up late, I'd seriously consider the late arrival.

I never, ever pick an early departure flight from Disney.
I will almost always pick an early departure flight to Disney, unless schedules for what we are doing indicates that we need to leave after work that day
But still, no matter what, we leave Disney late in the day. I am not getting up and leaving the resort at ohdarkthirty to head home. Heading home is sad enough as it is.
What AngiTN said--that goes double for me!

We have 2 options for our stay in July which is a shorter trip at only 5-6 nights.

1. Fly in Late Wednesday night - a 9pm flight, arriving at 12:30am! The negative is not getting much sleep, positive is a full park day on Thursday. With this option we will leave bright and early on Tuesday morning. So 6 nights, 5 Full park days and 6 nights of the dining plan.

2. Fly in early Thursday- a 8am flight, arriving around 11:30am, so about a half park day and leaving later in the day on Tuesday so getting some park time in that day. Also not getting much sleep on the first day since we will have to be up to get to airport early. So 5 nights, 4 full park days and 2 partial days. Saving about $160 cheaper than option 1.

Which one would you choose??
We'd do option 1.
