What is the best counter service/quick place to eat in:

1. MK
2. MGM
3. the Monorail Resorts

Just trying to figure out our itineraries. We like a quick bite to eat for dinner, since lunch will be sit-down.

Any help is appreciated - thanks!

For MK, i love Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland. It has entertainment (Audioanimatronic character named Sonny Eclipse sings many songs) and the food is really good in my opinion. It's standard hamburger/hotdog/chicken sandwich menu, but i happen to really like it.

We like the Columbia Harbour House at MK for counter service. It offers fish and chicken instead of the standard burgers, and is very good. We also find it to be usually less crowded than many of the others.

As far as MGM, there isn't a counter service that we like, and we plan to either go to a table service restaurant or leave the park.

Also can't think of a quick counter service place at any of the monorail resorts that is worth going out of your way for. If you're in that area, MK has so many good counter service options, you might be better off there.

MGM has very little options with counter service. I would suggest ABC Commissary (SP) just because that looks promising to us and we plan to try it next trip. Most everything at MGM is the same though.

In MK I would second the above comment about Columbia Harbour House. We eat there on every trip for one of our meals. Another we do every trip is Casey's Corner on Main Street for a good hot dog. Also there is a new one opened in Tomorrowland - something Noodle Station which I have read some pretty good reviews of on here. You might want to check it out too.

I like Pecos Bill in MK they have a great Fixin's Bar :cool1:
The monorail resorts have very small and poor counter service in my opinion.

so at MGM, I liked the Commissary (sp?). I enjoyed the noodles with veggies served with chopsticks, slightly bland, but the veggies and noodles were perfectly cooked. I also liked the side black bean salad, which had lots of flavor. It was a great lunch, IMO!
Although I like an occasional burger and fries, I enjoy trying "healthier" options, and I was glad to see these on the menu.
Of course I would have given it rave reviews had it had a micro-brewed beer to compliment my meal!
