What is the best way to get to MK?

Hi,

We're staying at Windsor Palms, Is it east to go east on 192 to the I4 north then exit where MK is signed?

I would still use the Sherberth Rd shortcut. Turn into either Black Lake Rd (if coming from the Western end of the 192) or Sherberth Rd if coming from the eastern end. Follow to the end and turn right and follow the signs to all the parks from here. I think for MK you need to make a left turn shortly after entering WDW property.

Ah yes, I see the road an a map, first left when when coming from our villa onto the 192..

You cant get lost! Follow Sherberth to its end at a set of traffic lights. Left takes you to Animal Kingdom LODGE ONLY, straight on goes into the Animal Kingdom service area (and is where the WDW buses exit AK). You need to turn right and you will find ALL the parks sign posted about 500 yds further up. However, if you are visiting Animal Kingdom do an immediate left (just a cut through in the central reservation, no signs) to get on the entrance road to the AK parking lot.

It is pretty much foolproof...once you have done it, you will see what I mean!

It is now signed, Allie. This stretch of the Osceola Parkway was noticably busier when we were there in July - not sure whether that's just because it's a busier time of year.

The Osceola Parkway runs parallel with the 192 and we often use it for destinations other than Disney.

themurrayfamily, there are various options for reaching Sea World, but the most straight forward and quickest is to travel east on the 192 and get on the I-4. Sea World is exit 71.

There is a shortcut BACK to the I-4 from Sea World.

When you come out of SW or DC turn left onto I-Drive (north). Take Westridge Rd (on the left, only a few hundred yards along) which goes past the Sheraton World hotel and follow it (about 1.5m). At the end, turn right, but immediately move over to the left lane, this takes you onto the I4, just before the LBV exit and cuts out a bit of traffic. Dont think it can be done "in reverse" as Im not sure there is an exit ramp here. You can then pick up the Osceola Parkway (J65 off the I-4) and cut back through to the Sherberth Rd shortcut, hence bypassing most of the I-4 and 192 .

Sherberth Road is easiest for all disney parks from the west end of 192.

When exiting the park head for Animal Kingdom and then Animal Kingdom lodge when it appears on the signs. Sherberth road is the last exit on the left before you hit AKL - you will grow to be very familiar with this route.
