What is the best thing you've eaten at Disney World?

I just thought you would get much more response on the restaurant board!! That is what you are looking for!! and welcome!:thumbsup2

Yes, this is what I was looking for! I'm a goof! I didn't know DISboards had a restaurant section, haha I'm not sure why, they have everything else! Thanks Natasha!

My best thing was the Prime Rib at Le Cellier. Here's a pic:

Slab o' Meat. roasted potatoes, au jus, and horseradish cream sauce. If you are not partial to the sauce, get it without.

Mmmm that looks to die for! Made my stomach growl!! I love visuals! lol

DH ordered the buffalo at Artist Point; I don't know if it was a sirloin or a filet, as the offering changes periodically, but that was the best thing I've ever tasted in my life!! I was covetous of his plate, though my salmon was also very good.

Honorable mentions:

The mushroom filet over risotto at LeCellier was the perfect dish. I loved the combination of flavors.

The best dessert I ever tasted is the bread pudding at 'Ohana (and I'm not really a big dessert fan).

I am not a dessert fan either, but bread pudding sounds delicious!! Not too sweet that it takes away the delicious flavor of dinner off your taste buds!

I loved the filet @ Narcooseses.

That's what we switched too, instead of California Grille! I looked at their menu and my mouth began to water! Did you have the Surf and Turf? If so, how big and good was the lobster?!

I am not a meat eater, I seldom do restaurants at disney. But I LOVE my breakfasts! Here is my Egg white Omelet from the Kona Cafe in May. There was to much cheese on it and I had to take out the ham. BUT The actual omelet was yummy! I am going to go in August again so I will get it with less cheese and no meat! lol

We're looking for a place to have a nice, sit down, casual dinner for our August trip. We want both delicious steaks and fresh Florida sea-food! We are already booked for a dinner at California Grille, (it was a surprise - kind of from DP) but when I looked at the menu, I wasn't very impressed because I'm a very picky eater and don't necessarily care for all the added "extras" offered with these dinners. In your opinion, what is the BEST meal you've had at Disney, and what was the restaurant called? Thanks in advance!!

35 Days Until our Magical Vacation - POP Century 8/10-8/18

well you say casual so I wasn't going to post my reponse but they you said you looked at Cal Gril so I changed my mind.

Hands down best meal I've had was at Jiko.
(blows Cal grill away)

We're not very knowledgable about wine but asked our server what he recommended. Based on our tastes he said
Delhiem Geirtzaminer (msp?)
- If there's a perfect wine this was it.Easiely the best bottle of wine we've every had.

Then had the Black Olive Flatbread.
-I'm not an adventurous eater so I was nervous about Goat cheese. But wow it was great!

Then had the Filet and mac and Cheese.
-I know what your thinking. Mac and cheese with steak? But trust me, it's not mac and cheese like your thinking. Went very well with the steak.
Which was Great. Probably the best filet or steak on disney property.
(I don't count Shula's as on property)

And I'm like you it sounds like..I want steak, not steak covered in stuff. Which is why I don't care for LeCell...they dunk good steaks in junk. Ruins it for me.
So If i'm right and that's what you like, just a good steak, try that filet and Jiko's
You won't regret it.

:thumbsup2
Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - Served wild mushroom risotto and white truffle-herb butter sauce -- TDF!!!!

Chicken Penne Alfredo at the POP Century!!!

Scallop Forest from Raglan Road at DTD!!

Not food, but a beverage: Dole Whip at Aloha Isle at MK!!!
and the POG Juice from the Polynesian!!

I think it's the Filet with Mac & Cheese at Jiko. It was so good. Also loved the chicken caeser salad at Mara (yes both at AKL)

The best steak - by far - is at Shula's Steakhouse. It's at the Swan or Dolphin, can't remember which one. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I've always had good seafood at Fulton's Crab House in DTD.

filet mignon at Narcoossees. and DH had the surf and turf and he loved that.

and for dessert--the almond-crusted cheesecake was TDF!!!

The Coconut Chicken at Kona Café. It's a white meat chicken breast marinated in coconut milk then breaded with almonds, crumbly breading, and coconut shavings, then it's dipped in coconut milk AGAIN and breaded AGAIN, then baked. It's served with a summer salad of spinach, strawberries, and oranges with a home-made citrus dressing. FABULOUS! It's my favorite meal ever!

I had read about Fulton's too, and read great reviews, including yours!! Since it's Florida, I should expect fresh seafood, right (hopefully)?! Also did you do an ADR for Fulton's or just walk in? My mouth is yet again, watering!!

Definitely the maple glazed salmon at Le Cellier :thumbsup2
Also, as a side note the carrot ginger soup @ Boma is to die for.

A 32 oz prime rib at Shula's.

I'm a smallish woman. I ate the whole thing. It was that good. :thumbsup2

I'd say the best thing I've eaten at wdw were the soups at Boma. They make a seafood stew that is just delicious!

However, if you don't like "extras" you might not like the different flavors used at Boma.

OMG... I forgot about the awesome soup. I had this one creamy potato type soup there once that was heaven in a bowl. I could have eaten a gallon of it.

I actually really, really, really enjoyed my dinner at The Wave in the Contemporary. I booked it pretty much because nothing else was available and I thought what the heck, I'll try it. I had a filet mignon that was out of this world. Everything we ate there was super tasty and the atmosphere and staff were out of this world. I'd highly recommend it.

I second this. The wave was wonderful. I had the crab cakes for my appetizer & beef tenderloin for my entree. So delish!!!
Next favorite would be the Cape May dinner buffet. The crab legs were yum-mo!!!
