I do well with "back of the box" recipes
Macaroni and cheese (from the mullers box)
Green Chile Chicken Enchaladas (from old el paso green chile can)
I also have a simple recipe from my DH's grandma that everyone raves about and it is sooo simple. Scotcheroos (rice krispes, peanut butter, chocolate and butterscotch bars)

I've never heard of a red velvet cake smelling like play-doh??
). I have never really understood how some people can follow a recipe and still have it turn out badly. I'm just lucky, I guess. My most requested meal was always chicken enchiladas, but that was because I wouldn't share the recipe with anyone. My husband got tired of eating them everytime someone came to dinner (one time he said, "I think the mailman hasn't tried the enchiladas yet, you want to invite him in too?") so I finally gave the recipe out.
