what is the average cost of food a day?

I would plan on at least $15.00 per person per counter service meal. I say $15.00 because some places have ribs or chicken that cost a bit more. Some meals will be around $8.00 though.

Please note that some meals are big enough to share, especially with little ones. I shared the whole week I was there with my young son. I never felt like I didn't get enough food. I did bring snacks for him too though. (applesauce, grapes, crackers) It's much better to buy too little food and then have to get up and get something else, then it is to buy everyone a meal and watch half the meal not be eaten!

well the reason that we are not doing the ddp is because my girls are super pickey eaters! and we figured that it would be cheaper and easy to find them food once we get there and look around at the counter services! we are going to eat breakfest in the room and order some pizza from pizza hut.

My daughter is also an incredibly picky eater, but we are doing the Dining Plan for that reason. I looked at the kid's menu at every place we are eating at and discovered that all of the TS places we are booked for have basicly the same menu. My daughter is strictly a chicken nuggets/tenders, hamburger, mac and cheese, and plain cheese pizza kind of gal. At least one of these things is offered at every TS place.

Its my Husband who I'm having problems with, LOL, my picky eater Daughter is nothing compared to my picky eater whiney baby Husband.

Do you have an iPhone? I downloaded an app for it called WDW dining that lists all of the menus along with prices for each item at Disney. It really helped me plan out costs.
