It sounds like lots of you have experience. Can anyone tell me if this is standard:
I called to make a town car reservation. They took my information, including CC info, which they said would not be charged until 1-7 days before our trip. I had asked if we would be able to make a grocery stop and they said they would get back to me through e-mail to let me know if we could make a stop at a grocery store.
I received an e-mail requesting that I fax them my signature to authorize the charges, but no answer on the grocery store. I don't have a fax machine at home and I haven't had to fax any of my other reservations back, even ressies that require a deposit. Grocery stop question aside is this normal? Can't they just charge my card when we are closer to our travel date?
