What is so great about Wall-E?

It is a huge hit in our house - ages 9, 8, & 5. DS9 loves robots, so that was a great connection. The majority of the movie is so simple. The first 40 minutes or so have almost no dialogue (which means no need for language skills), yet you are completely clear on what's going on. I think the really little ones like it so much for that reason - it has more meaning to them than most films that rely on words.

We took our kids to see it this summer and while my daughter liked it well enough, my son LOVES it! He was just under 2yo when we 1st saw it and he instantly liked WallE and still does.

I think you are right here. DS will sit through the first part of the movie, but when they get to the other planet, he loses interest. (I have yet to sit down to see the whole thing yet.)

It's so cute when DS runs around screaming "Wall-E" or "Eeee-va).
