What is so great about Le Cellier?

Le Cellier is a must do for us on every trip. :thumbsup2 When we went last Dec. all dinner ressies were full, so we did lunch there. My DH and DS absolutely looooove the steak. DS and I looooove the soup and pretzel bread. On DP I had the chocolate whiskey cake...............beyond yummy!!

Can you get the lobster tail added to your entree on the dining plan? And can you get the dessert sampler as a dessert on the dining plan?

Anyone every done this?

Thanks. :goodvibes

Beth :)

BEST filet I have ever ate !!!! My son had the New York Strip, thought it was not tender. Chedder cheese soup excellent, breadsticks great. Total cost for the four of us-- $210. Disney Dining Plan= PRICELESS !!!!!!

Do they still have the lobster on the LC menu for the dining plan....I have beening going back and forth between LC and Concourse...we want a good steak so I was not sure...and we are already doing Coral Reef and Chef De France at Epcot so I wasn't sure I wanted to add another "epcot" dinner in there...maybe I should drop Grand Floridian Cafe and add LC and keep Concourse...oh the decisions... :confused3

I have to say, Le Cellier is my FAVORITE restaurant on WDW property so far! But everyone has their own opinions, so you shouldn't expect it to be THE BEST food you'll ever have. I would DEFINITELY get Akershus out of there and change it to Le Cellier. Go there thinking it's a very good restaurant, and you'll be fine. My FAVORITE meal there is:

CHEESE SOUP WITH LOTS OF PRETZEL BREADSTICKS (btw, they will keep brining them to your table if you ask! :thumbsup2 )

FILET MIGNON WITH MUSHROOM RISOTTO (omg, the mushroom risotto was AMAGING!!!!!!! It was the best steak I have ever had and that says a lot since I'm from New York...lots of great steak houses here!)

MAPLE CREME BRULEE or CHOCOLATE MOOSE (from the kids menu)

This is a PERFECT meal, IMHO!!!

I hope you like it as much as many of us do!!! :teeth:

Well, I did it. I switched a few things around and added Le Cellier. We are going to EAT on this trip! yay for the dining plan. I got a ressie for dinner/supper on August 26, but it was either 4:50 or 7:50! I figured with a wee baby, 4:50 would be more doable and I could leave ds4 and dh at the park and head back for an early night with dd.

Here's what I changed:

08/19 - Arrive at MCO 9:40 - Liberty Tree Tavern 6:30 pm
08/20 - Sci-Fi Lunch 1:20 - Switched to Jojo Lunch at 11:40
08/21 - BOMA 6:30pm
08/22 - Whispering Canyon Cafe 5:30 pm
08/23 - FAntasmic pkg -Mama Melrose 5:50 pm
08/24 - Biergarten 7:25 pm
08/25 - BOMA - 9:00 am - Switched to Akershus Princess Breakfast at 10:00
08/26 - Akershus - 6:30 pm - Switched to Le Cellier at 4:50
08/27 - MY BIRTHDAY! Ohana Breakfast 10:00 am, 50/s Prime Time 6:10 pm
08/28 - Open (Departing MCO 1:30pm) - Added BOMA at 9am

Bring on the cheese soup! :)

We had lunch at Le Cellier in January. It was fine. I didn't think the atmosphere was anything special and the food was good. It certainly wasn't "to die for".

We will probably not go back. Not because it was bad, just because there are so many other restaurants to try.

Glad to hear you are trying Le Cellier! We love it and dine there every trip. The cheese soup & pretzel breadsticks are my favorite. Enjoy! :sunny:

Le Cellier was my favorite restaurant of our trip. The filet mignon was excellent as the kabob appetizer and the cheese soup was great. For what it's worth those in my family who had the NY strip steak thought that Rose & Crown had the best steak, but those of us who had the filet mignon placed Rose & Crown's very good steak second on the list.
