What is safe to leave in stroller during rides?

Leaving purchases is foolish. It is very common for thieves to grab just-purchased items and take them back to the store for a refund or an exchange for another item. This is especially easy at WDW where any store will take any return.

Don't leave anything in your stroller that you will miss if thieves strike. We had a blanket stolen from our stroller. A fleece Minnie Mouse blanket that I purchased on a freezing Jan morning for about $40 in the gift shop. It lasted us a whopping hour. It never even occurred to me to remove it from the stroller - the kids just hopped out and left the blanket behind so we could ride Peter Pan. Lesson learned.

I leave sippy cups out and they have never been bothered (but I use the cheap "disposable" type from wal-mart and bring along extras just in case). Everything else goes in the backpack that we carry with us.

I'm brand new to the DIS boards and heading to WDW after 14 years away.

I have a question regarding leaving personal items in your rental stroller while on rides/attractions. Are your items relatively safe in the stroller (i.e. diapers, wipes, blanket, etc.)? What should we carry on the rides with us versus leaving in the stroller (including the obvious of course like camera, wallet, etc.)?

Thanks for your help...we will be travelling as a large extended family (6 adults and 3 young children ages 1, 2, and 5).

(I've heard to mark the stroller handle with something personal to keep others from mistakening your stroller for theirs)

don't leave nothing .....in june we got ours taken around the Phillarmagic show..we never found it after going in that show.....good chance we did not have much in it but a mug and some popcorn....maybe they mistakenly took it

we left the living seas and someone left their stroller with a camcorder dangling from the handles we were shocked but noone seemed to care our stroller only moved when the CM had to move them for something
