What is "Private Dining"?

can someone please explain to me what "private dining" is?

It depends on where you are seeing it.

I would guess it means that you need to make a special booking for a private party, but without context I can't tell you.

Private dining = room service, with some other possibilities thrown in.

For example: Private dining at the Grand Floridian includes room service, pool side meal delivery, or custom dinners in custom locations throughout the resort.
Most resorts offer the room service part, not all offer custom dining.
