what is pirate night? if that's even what's it's called

I have been hearing about pirate night. What is it, and what do we need to bring to join in and get in the spirit? We took the 7 night cruise in 03 and I don't remember a pirate night.

Yes, It does replace Carribean night...IT is a Full fledge GREAT party on deck 9, with pirate dancing, singing, pirate characters, and a great buffet following..

It really all gets going at dinnertime, as you are given each a bandana, and a souvenir menu with all the works on it....It is something like a scroll..

THIS is one of the best things that changed IMHO..

Lots of people dressed up, young and old..Oh Ya Fireworks too..

Pirate night is the new theme night. They no longer have Caribbean night.

Thanks for the info. I remember Carribean night. What kinds of things can I get to make the night more fun for my family, DS10, D7? And I remember Carribean night being in one of the dining rooms not on deck 9? Where do we eat?

You eat in your dining room. The deck party starts at 9:45 on deck 9, just like the Tropicalifragilisticexpialidocious party did. LOL! That's why they changed it!

Rather than dressing up in true pirate attire, we decided to go with pirate t-shirts. Found some cute ones online! I think it'll be so fun!!!

Pirate night begins early in the evening with pirate-themed character photo opportunities in the atrium (Pirate Mickey, Pirate Goofy, etc.). You'll have dinner in your regular rotation dining room where you'll get the bandana and menu mentioned above (regardless of which dining room you're in) and your servers will be decked out in pirate costumes. Then, at 9:45 the party begins up on deck 9. Lots of fun!! Many people dressed in pirate costumes, but we went with the pirate t-shirts as well.

FYI - at Pleasure Island (Downtown Disney Orlando) there is a Pirates of the Carribean store. My wife bought a cool shirt with long mesh sleeves for the cruise. It kind of looks like she has arm-long tattoos with it. They also have kids stuff and accessories.

We did the 3 day in May and YES there was a pirate night.
It was great. We only did the T-shirts, but in December we are dressin gup as pirates. It's great fun!!!

We had our Pirate night on the third night of the cruise, which is the same day we visited Castaway Cay.
