What Is One Thing You Would Change About DCL?

Not sure how in the world they would accomplish #2. A calendar is a calendar. To do alternating 3/4 night cruises one is a weekend cruise and one is a week day cruise.
Right I get that. But that's what I'd like to see, plus they manage to do it on the Dream. Maybe Wish doesn't ONLY have to do 3 and 4 night cruises. The Mon-Fri 4 night is just not doable for us.

But if you’re going to pull them for three days then honestly is five days really that much different?
Depends on the age of the kids and the school district. When my kids were in kindergarten and preschool, you're right, not really that much different. I have a high schooler and middle schooler now and pulling them out of school for 5 days would be extremely disruptive and stressful for them. I really try to not pull them out of school at all, or keep it to 2 days max.

We manage to get some decent trips in especially when we surround it with a day that they have off from school (ie. election day)

For school aged and college students it is really that much different for the majority of students. I say this as having been a student taken out of school for a cruise. I was in high school it was just before winter break and I had to do a lot of arranging ahead of time. Sometimes school calendars also favor the Thursday/Friday for days students would be out of school like for parent/teacher conferences or professional days, school breaks, etc. That's not even getting into laws surrounding school attendance and then district rules when the state has less black/white rules.

I think most of us as adults who have worked jobs with PTO also can understand how the difference between the number of days we take off especially if you can't put it with a holiday which reduces the number of days you actually have to use.

That's just speaking about the PP's complaint regarding taking kids out of school for the whole week as opposed to later on in the week as there is a point towards how balancing out a schedule for selected itineraries can work; ultimately it won't be ideal for all especially with having so low of days you can sail.
yes, this!

To me, the problem with the Mon-Fri 4-nighters is Disney's problem. If I have to take off the entire work week anyway, I'm doing a 7-nighter instead of a 4-nighter. I imagine many others would feel the same, so kind of kills a lot of demand for those sailings.

That doesn’t sound like a problem at all. They sell you a 7-night cruise instead of a 4-night cruise!! lol

Well their problem is - and their seems to be evidence to back it up in the form of recently announced discounts - bookings the Wish are very soft.

Agreed. We recently tacked on a three-night Wish later this month to extend a separate trip and there are quite a few rooms still open despite the sailing being discounted for months.

But shifting the Wish schedule so it departs mid-week would not be an improvement- it would be a detriment.
