What is NOT included in price at Cape May Clam Bake?

We love it but... If you're a clam eater you will be in heaven. We go specifically for clams. Hence the name. If your looking for other types of seafood I would go to another TS.

What is on the menu??

As of this past Friday night they had:

Mussels and littleneck clams (both plain and with seasoned butter, corn on the cob, boiled potatoes, clam chowder, tomato bisque, caesar salad, regular salad with all the fixings, vinegar cucumber salad, vinegar tomato salad, cole slaw, potato salad, peel and eat shrimp, BBQ ribs, string beans, broccolini, mashed red skin potatoes, baked ziti, sausage peppers and onions, beef tips and mushrooms, roasted chicken, hot dogs, chicken fingers, mac and cheese, corn bread, assorted rolls, carved beef.

The dessert table had apple crisp, peanut butter chocolate chip blondies, brownies, key lime tarts, cheesecake bites, Oreo bon bons, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, flan, strawberry mousse pie, some little cake bites.

It was the same menu when I went in February too

We are going to give it a try this next trip. (one diehard family fan!!!)My one suggestion however and we are going to do this first, is have one member of your party walk the bugget first, make sure things do not look over done and the buffet is kept clean.

(everything was included our last trip and no extras were offered to add on)

So...someone who's from the mid south, not used to fresh fish, might enjoy? I don't know what's good for me anyways.:rotfl2:

The mussels are a real problem. They're scrawny and not very fresh, as compared to what we get at the restaurants along the shore here in Mass. The last time I was there, the fish filet was smothered in a cream sauce, so perhaps it was Mrs. Paul's.

The American side of the buffet is excellent. :thumbsup2

Oh, I see. I seriously doubt I've had good mussels, so maybe I won't know the difference. :goodvibes Thanks!

Just ate there recently for the first time. We really enjoyed it despite the fact that most of our party did not even touch the seafood side of the buffet.

I am from New Orleans and have eaten seafood all of my life. This seafood was very, very different. The potatoes were bland, the corn was hard, the shrimp were just okay.

I tasted clams and mussels for the first time ever. I did not like the clams at all -- they were very gritty (I do eat oysters). The mussels were okay but I wouldn't care if I never ate them again.:confused3

Oh, I did try the clam chowder and it was very good.

The meats at the buffet were really very good and we all thoroughly enjoyed that part of it! The service was great, too.

Hey, I'm from east Texas (not a place exactly known for good seafood). We ate there Seot '06 and really enjoyed it very much. In fact, I'm going to eat there again in just a little over a week.

FYI: I'll be on the DDP and thought about eating at a more expensive restaurant, but really wanted to try Cape May again. It is the cheapest restaurant I'm using my DDP for but I don't care.

Thanks Aubriee

At the restaurants here, they cook the mussels down to the size of a large pea. And your right, I used to live in Austin and San Antone, they're not known for fresh seafood.

We have so many TS scheduled, this sounds like a good OOP place.

No, you're not the only one... necessarily the two concepts work at cross-purposes.

When we were there in 2005, crab legs were not on the menu, but I was able to order them. I believe they were $13.99.

Since we were on the dining plan, I had to pay extra for them. I was planning to do the same thing this August. Are you all saying this is no longer possible?
