DS REALLY wants to stay at the Nick Hotel. The cheapest rate I found was around $179 a night with my AAA discount for around March, April or May for the 2 bedroom suite. Anyone seen a cheaper rate? I know Mousesavers offers a discount (or used to), but I wasn't sure what it is.

I figured we could stay for 2 nights. Longer than that and I think I would get sick of Sponge Bob, I can't stand him but DS loves him LOL. What exactly is there to do nearby? Universal and WDW are out but I was thinking maybe SW? How close is that? Any other suggestions would be great as I'm clueless about Orlando other than WDW!

I have never stayed at the Nick hotel but we saw it on our last trip. It is literally right outside the Welcome to Disney arch! A foot over and it would be on property. So it is about 15 minutes from seaworld.. I am guessing maybe a little less. If you want to spend big bucks there is Discovery cove(the swim with dolphins place at seaworld- but it is so much more than that) but it is going for aroun $290 a person now :scared1: (that puts it out of our price range) We did it once and it was incredible!! Hmm. You are about an hour away from Busch Gardens. I can't think of all the other things- there are tons though I am sure you will get a list... Like Wet and Wild...

We stayed at Nick last week. You can plan on enjoying the water slides and property there at least two days. We also went to Sea World and loved it. Don't forget to stop by the window on the way out and get your second day free card.

it is across the street and up a block (busy 536) from the marriott world center.

it is not near any shopping or restuarants easily walked too....

although you can.

the Lake buena vista outlet mall is not far - but I would drive to everywhere.

SW you can just save on ID and get over to SW.
