What is must on your Thanksgiving table?

My family is big into sides. We love having a variety of things to eat during holiday dinners, but the must haves for Thanksgiving are turkey and our traditional Puerto Rican pernil (roast pork).

Turkey
Stuffing
Cranberry sauce - the jelly kind that keeps the shape of the can

Yes, yes, and yes!! - plus pea casserole (just like the green bean one, only with peas), rolls, and Auntie's cheesy potatoes.

Appetizers must always be cheese balls and crackers (I don't think they'd let me in the door without that) and dessert is flexible...but there must be some.

mashed potatos
asparagus....I like them more than green beans
homemade pumpkin pie...madefrom a sugar pumpkin and the whipped cream
rolls
can't forget the gravy

Yep. Those are the only three must-haves.

Everything else, like the type of potatoes, veggies, appetizers, desserts, etc. can vary. Or they can be skipped.
I tried Honey baked ham mashed potatos and they were heavenly. I will get those to save me from making them.

I would have:

Turkey
Stuffing with sage sausage and mushrooms
gravy
mashed potatoes
sweet potatoes or squash
green bean casserole
carrots
roasted brussel sprouts with balsamic glaze (my own recipe only, though, otherwise, I can leave them out)
cheesy potatoes (more of an Easter dish in my family, but I love it so why not!)
pretzel jello
jello with oranges
brown and serve rolls
pickles and olives
pumpkin pie
cheesecake
apple pie
pecan pie
Christmas cookies (snowballs, magic bars, spritz cookies, macaroons, lemon bars, and those awesome toffee cracker things! I have to learn how to make those!)

I would take a little of everything - I am a total "many options" girl! I like variety!

My DH stuffed mushrooms
Broccoli with cheddar cheese sauce
Turkey
Apple pie from Costco
Chocolate pudding pie with homemade whipped cream

Turkey
Stove Top Stuffing (it has to be Stove Top or I'm not interested) :ssst:
Mashed Potatoes
Rolls
DH's homemade Cranberry Chutney
My homemade Apple Pie
DH's homemade Pumpkin Pie
Homemade Whipped Cream

Every year we have that awful green bean casserole! DH has finally started making fresh green beans with walnuts as well. :worship:

Turkey
Sage stuffing
my great grandmothers 'French stuffing'
mashed potatoes
carrots
sautéed Brussels sprouts with bacon
swiss corn casserole
rolls
cranberry sauce

All the usually, but also sauteed apples...like Cracker Barrels and homemade cheesecake with strawberries. Now I'm hungry!

I'll go through what we have:

Cajun fried turkey
Ham w/pineapple
Sausage & saurkraut
Dressing
Corn
Green bean casserole
Broccoli cheese rice casserole
My grandmas amazing rolls
Mac n cheese
Westphalia noodles
Pickles
Pumpkin pie
Pumpkin bomb
Pumpkin gooey cake

Stove Top (I don't care for the homemade stuff)
Not crazy over pumpkin pie but will have a small slice if smothered in cool whip. :D

Sweet Potato Supreme
Broccoli Salad
Good ole Southern cornbread dressing
And a little bit of Pumpkin pie to go with the Cool Whip :)

Turkey with stuffing and turkey gravy.
Tofurky with vegetarian stuffing and vegetarian gravy. (DD is vegetarian, and DDL is allergic to turkey)
Home made cranberry sauce
Garlic Mashed potatoes.
Regular Mashed potatoes
Home made pumpkin and apple pie.
Plain sweet yams
Yams topped with marshmallows.
