What is??????-most expensive/never would buy

I am sure there are many others but I may be blocking them out right now!

$23 for a shirt at the Grand Floridian. I never wear that shirt now!

We also ordered a birthday cake for lunch at the castle - lunch has no characters and so it wasn't as special as we thought. The cake was $14 AND IT WAS DRY! Really not good!

I bought a small tin of Grizzly Bear Sours (gummy bears) from the Canada shop. They were $5.00. They were very delicious (best I ever had), so I guess they will become an expensive tradition.
My other splurge was my baby's ballzac ball. $25.00 for a balloon ball. He was too small to care about much else. I wanted him to have something he loves. He plays with it often. I had to get the one with all the wdw character stuff on it even though it didn't come in the cheaper size.

I can't wait to find out what we wouldn't normally buy but will in disney lol. question how in the world did you get some of this home? we are flying and are very limited to only 1 suitcase full of souveniers
Becky, Paige and Hailey!

leaving tomorrow!

I went to the Disney Character Warehouse at the Belz Outlet Mall and bought most of my souveniers there. They shipped the entire lot for me - UPS. It was so much fun when the UPS man came 10 days after we got back. ;)

This is such a funny thread!! I didn't even read all of them yet and I was laughing my behind off.
I loved the one on the brick with the exhubby! What a hoot!!
Here's just a short list;

A Grumpy t-shirt, like 26.99 or something. The kids insisted I needed it. Humph!! It turned out to be one of my all time fav. shirts. I wear it all the time when I teach aerobics if I'm in a bad mood. My students get worried when they see me wearing it. :rotfl:

Three hats: one for DS and one for DD and a "Grumpy" one for me. Who woulda figured! We got signatures all over them. Hmmmm...I wonder what I could get for them off of eBay. :teeth: Never in a million years, to us they are priceless!

Probably about $30 on trying to find a good cup of coffee. Never found it!

I have others I'll think on. But let me just say that the best .25 I've ever spent was on the foot massage machines outside of Pioneer Hall. Disney could rack up if they had those all throughout the parks!!! I think we spent a total of $30 on those alone (Just kidding).

I'm not sure if they still have them there now. But on our trip in 2003 we bought a crystal cube that they laser etched a 3D picture of my daughter's head in. Very cool souvenir but a bit pricy at $100.

That being said, this trip we'll probably wind up buying one with DD.25 and DD7's heads... just to be fair.

Every year we buy a large crystal cube and light base with our pictures in it. I think its around $150 :confused3

It seems that every trip to Disney my camera breaks! I always end up going to the camera shop at MGM and buying a new one (expensive!) This year I am packing an extra back up camera with me.

I blew $25.00 at DTD on a sketch poster of Goofy fishing. Now that I have been back in Ct. I cant find a frame to fit the size. Its still rolled up in the tube.

And the cash spent on pins in the past I probably could have payed for a week stay at the GF...concierge!

I bought 3 $26 t-shirts and a $40 sweatshirt in 2003 because I needed new Disney shirts. Three months later I lost some weight and now they are all to big for me.
Also ,last year I spent $48.00 Billabong shorts for my daughter because
she "had to" wear them for surfing lessons at Typhoon Lagoon.
I justified it that being it was her birthday it was a present.
Never again!

Mickeybars. :mickeybar I don't even eat ice cream at home and I bet I had 10 of those things last year.

Where in WDW do they have these? I would love to get one of my two GS's I've only seen them on the disney ships & we're not planning a cruise this year.

When you get off the Figment ride in EPCOT, go through the fun area to the door and you can't miss it. There are bunches of cubes set up with faces in them. A little weird, seeing yourself in 3-D!

I bought my boyfriend a bonsai in Japan on one trip, because he loves them. I paid 135.00 for the tree, because you cant find them here. when I brought it home to him, he liked it, but also told me it wasn't a real bonsai. It was a Juniper and he could tell from the trunk and the roots it wasnt as old as they said. But he still has it and takes care of it but I could have dug a Juniper out my front yard for free.

Thank You. I'm looking forward to having one made of GS (12) & GS (8).

$235 for a Donald Duck drawing, no color just pen from the autograph store in DD.

Not sure what I was thinking, the vacation frenzy took over and I overspent pretty much on everything.

My most frivolous purchase was probably the 2 $25 hats that DH and I "had" to have, that we've worn once since returning. We are bringing them when we go to WDW in May, but yup, we plan on buying new ones when we get there! :rotfl:

Two $5 ballons for the kids only to find out that they had to be stored in bell services 15 minutes later (stayed at AKL)!

This is so funny because my son and I were just laughing about this after we came back from WDW in December.
Beer!!
I will thoroughly search the ads to see who has beer on sale before going to the store to buy any and yet have no problem paying $5.00 a cup at WDW which comes out to $120.00 A CASE!! :drinking1 :drinking1

All these are great, i had no idea this thread would get so many responses but i know there are still more people out there, don't be shy or ashamed, share with us

First trip- over $150 for TWO (not one, two) jackets... because I couldn't decide on which jacket. I would NEVER spend that much on a jacket here- not even close to that amount... especially considering I live in Texas and don't even NEED a jacket very often at all. And now I regret it because I bought it on Christmas day 2002 and then proceeded to lose 80lbs from Feb-Aug of 2003 and now both those jackets are WAY too huge for me. I wore them only a few days at the parks and now they are too big for me. :(

Over $60 for Pal Mickey. I'd never spend that much on a "toy" for myself! (and yes it was originally for myself- bought on a solo trip). Kicking myself on that one too since they go so cheap now! LOL

Congrats on the weight loss. Try to sell the jackets on e-bay I am amazed at how much some of the items go for.

We bought a Pal Mickey in 2003 & GS loved it. We used him for 10 days in 2003 & took pal mickey back with us in 2004 for 8 days. We will be taking pal back with us this year & 2 GS's will be enjoying him.
