What is it with pink shirts?

My DH wears pink shirts to golf, he loves them. Some of the guys on his team have made comments that make him self conscious, but when they are in his closet he wears them. It's ridiculous that such a nice color has such an association, people automatically look at men in a different way when they wear pink, like they are more feminine or something. I wonder where that came from?

As far as Kindergarten and the younger kids, well they are big into identity roles, so I would not take it personal.

I remember when DS was in kindergarden. He came home upset because he chose a pink crayon to draw with and some kids told him he's gonna turn into a girl now :confused3 :rotfl:

By all means don't assume and hit on a guy wearing a pink shirt. You have no idea how homophobic that person may be.

That's funny! I can totally see my best friend's DS coming home and saying, "Mom am I going to really turn into a girl?" :rotfl2:

Well my DS7 about to be 8 - have 2 pink shirts and loves them...
one says- All my black shirts are dirty - and the other - Tuff boys wear pink-
His whole Travel ice hockey team is into them too!! all are ages 6-8..
He wore the one to school and did get a little slack from a few but he said at least I can wear it and must admit he looks nice in the color...
the Hockey team 2 ages older really got into this spring - they wore BRIGHT HOT pink jersey and the team names was Tuff boys wear pink! they taped their sticks pink and did the shoe laces that way too! IT WAS GREAT!!
so not all are that way. :thumbsup2

DS and DH both have pink Lacoste shirts. I love them! :thumbsup2

DS started saying his favorite color was pink when he was about two years old.

His favorite first character was also Cinderella, because he used to like to give her kisses.

A few weeks ago when we were at MGM to get the Power Rangers autographs he wanted to make sure we got the pink ranger.

While we were waiting for the red ranger, one of the other mothers mentioned that her sons didn't even want to talk about the pink ranger!

One of the little boys heard here and started making this YUCK face, and spitting on the ground, saying he hates the pink ranger.

DS just looked at me like..what's his problem, she's beautiful!

I call him my little romantic because he's always telling me how beautiful he thinks I am! :goodvibes

DH thinks all this makes him girly, but I think it makes him smart! ;)
