What is it with pink shirts?

Pink is the quintessential preppy color.
And preppy is back in a big way.
You go - you style maven!

I thought you were a woman this whole time. I assumed the WDW picture you used to have was a picture of you your kids & husband? I was like cool a female Paster. It's nothing from your posts...just me always assuming everyone is female here. :confused3

EVERYONE in belgium wear pink shirts, ties, sweaters, ... But don't wear the Barbie-pink!!! ;)

OK pink shirts for guys are in BUT some men don't need to follow the latest fashion trend. Case in point, we were leaving ds' psychiatrist office and in walks a family. The man is 40 something-mullet cut hair, beard and mustache, beer belly hanging out of a pink t-shirt that read "Real Men Wear Pink". :rotfl2: I'll bet ds' psychiatrist had a field day with that one. I laughed all the way home-best appoinment ever in that office.

Pink is in for boys/men here too. When we were giving out prizes for our fundraiser, the boys were picking all the pink things there too.

I bought my FH a shirt to warm him up to pink. It's pink/blue/white striped and he looks great in it. I have never heard so many people (grown men) make comments to him about his shirt. (One guy asked if it was his sister's shirt...) I think there are just too many insecure men out there who can't handle the pink. ;)

If you like it wear it! If people make comments about it you should tell them you have underwear to match. That should shut them up! :rotfl2:

Real men wear pink ;)

Seriously I think my DH owns more pink than I do. He looks great in it! Many men I know do as well. It's definitely not just a sissy color or being equated with gay.

That does it. I'd love reading all these posts.

For father's day this coming weekend. I'm getting my husband a pink tee shirt and a pink tie. I'm going to do it!!!! Whether he likes it or not!!!

The pic was of DW and DD (had one up of me and DS, too). She is a pastor; we are co-pastors at the same church.

Boy, after reading this thread I think I'm gonna go buy another pink shirt to wear when my other one is dirty. DW does seem to really like me in pink ;)

RickinNYC, thanks pal, I needed a little ego boost today :goodvibes

Ah, the old pink shirt debate, again. Not going to touch it with a ten foot pole! :moped:

In 1969 I spotted a guy at work in a pink long sleeve dress shirt and fell in love at first sight. Literally. It took me a few weeks to find out who he was, but I was persistent. He was the love of my life, and I think that pink shirt was what caught my eye first - plus he was practically a double for Steve McQueen. Actually he had played Steve McQueen's stunt double in some movies.

I know most of you aren't old enough to know who Steve McQueen was - but he was really, really cute and very cool.

According to my nephew's girlfriend peach is the new pink. I have no idea where she heard it, but my nephew thinks if his girlfriend says it, it must be true :flower: So men start buying those peach shirts!

OH! I neeeeed that shirt that says My other shirt is black. DH needs it for Father's day I should say. Any idea where to get it?

I like pink but I do have to say that on my last shopping trip to Kohls waaaayyyy too many of the clothes had that definite metrosexual look to them and no way could I convince DH into the majority of the shirts in that store. He will wear pink though and not feel uncomfortable at all. He did keep telling me though that "men don't wear this color" and the shirt was sage green. :confused3

Zip, you are so trendy!!!!!! ;)

Yeah, that's me... trendy as can be. Did I mention I was also playing with a Rubik's cube, wearing large sunglasses, and listening to Def Leppard? Oh, and I am typing this on a Commodore 64. :teeth:

You & bicker had me confused for a long time. But looking at the Clues...I can see it now. Remember the Add the next sentence game. You kept going back to the Long handled something gun?

i think men look great in pink shirts. I think they sell a shirt online that says, Real Men Wear Pink. My sons' both have pink shirts

My dh has a pink t-shirt that says "Keep laughing, this is your girlfriend's t-shirt"!!! lol

Where did you get that I have heard of them and can't find them. Both of my ds's have been refusing to wear pink well I bought the older one that says It's not pink it's lightish red and he's worn it. The younger one said he'd wear the girlfriend one.

Can't say I remember the "add the sentence" thread, but I'll take your word for it. I don't know a thing about guns, by the way, so whatever I posted there should be taken with a block of salt :teeth:

Back to the pink shirt discussion. I am now on the lookout for pink shirts, since I seem to be on the cutting edge of this trend. Today DW and I went with a group of kids from the church to a free movie. I spotted 4 'tween-aged boys wearing pink! Aha! The trend is growing! :cheer2:
