What is it with January this year!!!!!

We are trying to get three nights in January 2007 and it's still not available at the Boardwalk - GRRRRR

Anyone know what is going on January 21, 22 and 24?

IBM's Lotusphere 2007 conference runs JAN 21-25, 2007. While the event has little impact on parks -- it has been known to consume plenty of hotel rooms in the Dolphin, Swan, Yacht, Beach and Boardwalk. I don't know how many attendees book the Villas ... but given the big staff party last year in The Attic - I'm guessing "the secret" has spread. DVC makes a great place to call home during the busy conference week!

Just curious, when did you first attempt to book your stay? (I'm wondering how early BW sells out for this time period?)

The Pirate and princess party is on the 22nd (we'll be there!) I don't know if that affects it or not....

Just to be sure, we just booked AP rates at the POP to have a room. Hopefully will still get the BV. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Must be everyone heard I'd be there!! We booked a one BR about three months ago and had no problem. Just picked BW to try something different. Good luck, hope you get what you want.

Same here...booked BWV in late Oct. with no problem...there was availability at all DVC resorts (1 BR) 2 months ago. Now I'm worried. I like my empty parks!

We've been going in Janaury for the past 12 years or so. We have found it getting busier and busier every year for the past few years. We save the popular rides for our trip in September, much quieter.

It's being held at the Convention Center from Jan 21st through Jan 24th - I'll be staying at SSR with two golf pros that will be attending the show (while I actually get to golf ) - so that may account for some of the unavailability. It is a HUGE event that draws lots and lots of professionals from every aspect of golfing.....
