We have had the Dining Plus before which included entree, dessert, non alcoholic drink.

We plan on doing the Deluxe Plan. I noticed on the dining brochure that the Deluxe includes the appetizer, entree, dessert, non alcoholic drink.

Is the appetizer included or did they make a mistake when printing? Sometimes, we would like a appetizer instead of the dessert.

with deluxe, you get three meal credits per day and for TS meals both appetizer and dessert are included... as well as two snacks per day... for CS meals it is the same as w/the regular dining plan...
except they no longer include two beverages at b'fast :(

You also do not get an appetizer at breakfast (fruit bowl, etc).

when we did deluxe (2008) we were able to get "appetizer" w/TS b'fast at captain's grille ('cause i remember getting yogurt and granola)... all our other b'fasts were either CS or buffet, so i don't know if this is policy, restaurant discretion or new rule...

Fairly new rule unfortunately. I used to get the stawberries with cream as an appetizer for breakfast at Boatwrights and a fruit cup at the GF Cafe on the DxDDP too, but for at least the last two years have not been able to get an appetizer at breakfast anywhere.
Here's what the plan says now:

Table Service
Each Table Service meal on the Deluxe Dining Plan includes one of the following:

Breakfast: Juice, Entrée, Non-alcoholic beverage
OR One full buffet

Lunch: Appetizer, Entrée, Dessert, Non-alcoholic beverage
OR One full buffet

Dinner: Appetizer, Entrée, Dessert, Non-alcoholic beverage
OR One full buffet.

Oh! one odd thing: I go to WDW several times a year and am normally on the DxDDP. We go to a Signature restaurant almost every night including Artist Point almost every trip. This past Dec the waitress at Artist Point told me that since I was on the DxDDP that I got to order one of the extra sides listed at the bottom of the menu, in addition to the sides that came with my entree. I asked her if she was sure since I eat there almost every trip on the DxDDP and had never gotten the extra side before. She told me it was a new perk at their restaurant. I looked around and sure enough heard the waiter at the next table telling his table the exact same thing, that people on the DxDDP got an extra side. I had eaten there in Oct and the extra side was not offered then, nor was it offered at any of the other Signature restaurants I ate at in Dec (California Grill, Yachtsman, Flying Fish (twice), Citricos, Narcoosee, or Jikos).:confused3

hmmm, that's a perk i would take!! we typically always order an extra side, esp when on the dining plan 'cause when you're paying w/credits, it's no biggie to pay a few bucks for a side...

When we went, many years ago, we told the waitress we were on the dining plan. This time, we are going to do the deluxe. Do you tell them you are on the deluxe so they can tell you what you can order?
