what is in your bag when you visit the big 4?

small container of sun tan cream,
camera in a zippy bag
purse
passes
water bottle
shades

that's it, and if we go back just for the evening we lose the bag entirely and just take money and passes

Don't forget your ponchos and sweets is definately a good idea, one or two whilst in a queue keep the kids going for a little bit longer!

Well in my bag, we have the following (call me pack horse)

My wallet, with dollars
Passport or Dvla
Camera
Phone
Mints
Chris's PDA
Chris's Phone
Note Book (with adr numbers in)
Pen
Tissues
Wet Ones
Ipod
Inhalers
Pain Killers
Plasters

And then I add anything a I buy lol, mines a pretty big bag

I usually only carry a small camera bag, with my digital camera, park tickets, room keys, credit card and some cash :)

DW has a huge rucksack for everything else :)

We have a rucksack with ponchos, camera, lens, suncream, and sunhats in and then my smaller bag with park tickets, room keys, money, hand gel (ds can't wash his hands in water because he gets a rash!) and ADR numbers in it.

DS has a small disney bag he carries with his sun hat, hand gel, autograph book & pen and his camera.

With children that young I'd say your essentials would be spare clothes, nappies, wipes, drinks, sun cream and sun hats. I got so irritated at all the irresponsible parents not putting hats or cream on their children - we were so in the minority.

I'm going with bf this year so I imagine i'll get the 'can I just put my wallet in your bag' after about an hour when he gets fed up of carrying it himself  This is why men can brag about packing light y'see, their girlfriend/wife/partner carries all their stuff! :rotfl2: Silliness aside, I carry my wallet with driving license and money/TCs, camera, poncho, suncream, plasters and moleskin, lipbalm, bottle of water, phone, tissues, hand sanitiser, pen and paper and park maps. My pin lanyard which goes round my neck then in my bag when I get fed up of it :upsidedow I dread to think how much i'll carry when I have kids, people will wonder why i'm carrying my case round the parks. What can I say I like to be prepared :rolleyes1

You seem to have covered everything now.

Only thing I'd add is that I'd pack the set of spare clothes (inc nappy/few wipes) in a large freezer bag so it can be early transfered from pushchair basket to rucksack as needed.

Definately ponchos! they cost very little and do a brilliant job of keeping those unexpected showers off they also seem to last forever! I'd wear mine at home if it didn't look so silly :)

thank you all, I think I had most things covered. a zip lock bag and some child and adult pain relief is a great idea. I had that prepared for the flight but hadn't considered it for day to day......

and to Lisash......I would love to see a diser walking down their local high st in their park poncho......hillarious.......LOL.

haven't read the whole thread through, but in my bag i have suncream, purse with park pass, credit card, and a few dollars, blister treatments, nurofen, camera with batteries, touring plan and ADR no. written on it, and if AK then a change of socks and small handtowel (I got terrible blisters from wet feet on kali River Rapids last August)
have a great trip,

I also take some wasp spray in case anyone gets bitten. There were some massive evil looking wasps in AK last time we were there. Also as I am loved by mosquitoes far and wide, I also take some E45 hydrocortisone cream which is brilliant for mossie bites.
A Dummy or pacifier tie was useful for my youngest last time. It was so funny when my DH asked the guy at the disney store in Epcot if he sold dummies. The CM wondered if my DH was calling him a dummy and actually being insulting and had no idea what he was going on about. We had to describe a dummy which was very funny and quite hard to do actually. Then we discovered that dummies are pacifiers. Not as bad as the hysteria re when certain members of my family discovered what the americans call bum bags. :rotfl:

I takle tiny little single strap rucksack that I can swing around easily, yet I have perfected the art of packing loads into it!

Phone (with adr details stored in it)
Purse (containing room key, dvla etc)
Flannel/Face Towel - great for wiping off ride seats to prevent wet bums!
Nurofen
IBS pills
Couple of plasters
Sunglasses in their case
Back up sun spray
Magicool (life saver in AK)
Pen & notepad for character autographs
Video camera
Spare batteries for video & regular camera + backup DV tape

I carry my camera in my shorts pocket with it's strap tied onto a belt loop and a mini fan on a string around my neck. Considering my bag is only about 6 inches square and 3 inches deep there's a remarkable amount of stuff in there - I've amazed CMs before now, it's like Mary Poppins' carpet bag!
