What Is Going/Went Into Your Welcome Bags?

We are doing re-usable bags with a custom t-shirt, custom re-usable water bottle, a "times guide" we made (mocked off the one you get in the parks) with our schedule for the week on it and DIY door hangers. Good luck!

Hi!

We are actually doing a Halloween themed bag since we are getting married the 21st of October.

We are doing a lot of the same necessity items as others have posted, however we are adding some Halloween goodies. The bags are the reusable Disney Halloween bags, and we added small purple or black photo albums complete with Halloween stickers to jazz up the front. We ordered Disney Halloween pen and pads with a personalized note from us, we are doing some Halloween candy, small cans of Halloween soda ( I found them in the super market and they are sooo stinking cute!) which are either orange/black or purple and green- so excited for those. The hand sanitizers are all from bath and body works and of course Halloween themed- the tissues are Halloween themed as well. I am hand written notes for each bag, thanking them for coming and they are on Disney Halloween cards. We also put in small champagne bottles and 2 cups tied together with Halloween ribbon- I know there is more, but this is all I can remember right now

Just how many people did you invite to your wedding? All of our wedding guests are family, since we're doing the Escape wedding. Would you still think it appropriate to do Welcome Bags like this?

Hey girl! I think it is entirely appropriate to do Welcome Bags for your wedding. The point of the Bag is to provide a little gift, necessary items guests may need, etc.

We plan on giving welcome bags to anyone who is staying at a hotel for our wedding (since we are in FL, we have a couple of people who are just driving up and back that day!).

Our welcome bags are a work in progress, since we have over a year. This is what I am thinking, so far.

Welcome Folder with
Park maps
Last newsletter (I have a lot of fun doing these)
Event/Transportation Schedule/Park Info (going to look like Times Guide)
Hidden Mickey Guide (done, just have to print)
Post card - (maybe personalized to send back to us)
Door Hanger (design done...construction another issue)

Hand Sanitizer (great sale at BBW - already done)

Pins - We are doing alot with Disney pins. Our save the dates are incorporating custom lanyards, so we have decided to hand out pins at each of our events. The pins are based on which character has been assigned to each event (our enclosures and invites will reflect these). In the welcome bags, will be each guests characters pin and what we are calling their year of significance pin.

We are assigning each of our guests a character based and giving them their character pin to wear as well. We have had a lot of fun with this project. Some are sweet and some are not so sweet. We have several assigned villians depending on the person.

The Year of Significance pins is a way for us to acknowledge each of our guests. For married couples the year is the year they got married. For our single guests, it is the year we became friends and for the kids attending, it is the year they were born. I then went and found something for those years that happened in Disney history (some were very tough) and got them a pin for that event.

We will also probably have the Disney "I'm Celebrating" pins in the bags as well.

We are planning on doing custom t-shirts. We wanted to do this for our first wedding and couldn't afford it, so we are doing it now.

A small bear necessities pack with gum (since Disney doesn't sell it)

A deck of personalized playing cards that I just bought on the knot. They were cheap and I think most of our guests will love them.

There may be more, but right now, that is what we have in mind.

I notice you live in Boynton Beach. I lived there for 3 years in the 90s. My grandparents lived there for over 20 years at Quail Ridge. I miss Boynton alot, especially in the winter.

I am making one passport per guest so they can all document what the Drank or (Dessert) Around the World. I have put one together and it looks awesome. I will post a photo in my pj over the weekend.

If you are ordering alot it does not hurt to call and ask for an extra discount....I did that with certain items that I wanted to put in and Tide was SO great they gave me 25 coupons for FREE Tide Pens! I also received other coupons/discounts by mentioning they would be used in a welcome bag! I am still trying to get out and around to pick everything up! LOL
