What is going on with the FP+ crackdown?

Disney boards are a small amount of the people in the parks on a daily basis. I just don't see how the bad PR could have been large enough for that to have been the reason.
I think the fact that the two types of FP "strategies" that are now known to be against TOS are no longer allowed to be discussed here says something.

With all the hyperbole going around based on the one article passed around and referenced on all fan sites, I believe this is the first time a warning has been mentioned. Is this a warning via MDE or are we to rely on the CM to issue the warning at the FP tap?

If you don't try and book more than 3 FPs on one day you won't need a warning.

I don't know. I'm not sure scared and Disney and guest should ever be used together. But that's just me. I can't imagine Disney wants their guests scared.
Is it the word "scared" that troubles you?
Scared... Afraid... Worried...
I would think Disney wants them too (insert proper term here) to try to cheat the FP system, jump a turnstile, sneak into a ride, etc.

You can ask them if you have questions about their decisions.
I like their decision. It took to long IMO. What I'm saying is every single thread on every single message board (aside from the one main thread on this item that was on this site that was heavily censored) showed this subject in a negative light. So I'm saying PR probably played a bigger role then you are thinking.

No not like express pass necessarily. I think they could very well have a paid option for extra Fps or something like that. They already know people will pay for rides. Look at the early morning magic event or the new Frozen dessert party they are about to start.
Yeah but those are separate events. You'd have financially mixed masses at DW during regular hours. I can't see how that will work but nothing would surprise me.

Separate events doesn't really matter. It is just showing people will pay to ride attractions. I think Disney will always have some sort of "free" FP but having a paid option seems very likely to come in the not so distant future.

Yeah, I guess. I keep picturing Scared Straight where you send kids to spend a day in jail to prevent them from turning to a life of crime. Just isn't what I picture when I think of Disney.

@DisneyMom93, do you think everyone who has used it in the past is watching this thread with the same fervor that you are? My money is on no. And so I think the split between those who have used it in the past (innocently or not?) and those using it "since the change" (which wasn't really a change in TOS, only a change in Disney's enforcement) is a blurred line.
You specifically said ill will towards those that have used it in the past. I was just asking where you saw that.
I think there's a difference between those that used it in the past vs still trying.

People were using it before using "phantoms" and "alter egos," etc. I won't get into all that now because how I feel about what was done in the past and the stuff that was written defending it doesn't matter at this point.

A lot of people who used this cheat before had convinced themselves it wasn't wrong. They read the TOS as they saw fit and with no real punishment they thought it was OK. Now there is a punishment for the crime so yes I think (hope) they are.
I don't think they are watching this thread. They went elsewhere to continue planning new ways to get more FPs since it's not allowed here any longer.

I read about the warning somewhere. I'm sorry I can't remember where.

That was the decision of our administrative team. That didn't have anything to do with PR.
Well, I was thinking more of a roundabout way.
This is a public site about WDW with content about things going on at WDW....
