What is gas now where you live?

Last week it was $3.02 and today it is $3.45! They say it will be $4 by summer!

This morning I filled up after dropping the kids off at school. The price was $3.45/gal. This afternoon I picked them up and the price was $3.55/gal. I live in the Vancouver, WA area.

I got gas this afternoon at Smith's. I'm in Northwest Montana.

Unleaded $2.99/gallon
Mid Grade $3.09/gallon
Premium $3.19/gallon
Diesel $3.45/gallon

Mid grade is new to me.

$3.49 a gallon for regular in Rensselaer County, NY - at least last night.

I swear these gas station owners watch the TV and when they hear that the price is going up for barrels of oil they raise their prices. They didn't pay more for the gas that's already in their underground tanks, so why charge us more for it? Because they can.

Just this afternoon, in DuPage County, gas prices ranged from $3.55-$3.65 - Regular Unleaded.

That's at least 25 cents more than I paid the last time I filled up.

Started at $3.09, went to $3.15 and now $3.19. I'm about 30 minutes west of Milwaukee, WI. In this area, most stations are the same price.

I'm 30 minutes west of Milwaukee also and we are at 3.39 (Hartland) has it gone up that much in two days!!??!

Yesterday morning, when I purposely went out to top off my tank (was at a 1/2), it was 3.03, later on it was .10 more!

I also don't get it. I understand when the barrel goes up in price...but that stuff won't get here for weeks...so why does the price go up? It's such a scam!
