What is/are the first things you do once you check in....

We always arrive early and our room isn't ready so we check in and then head off to Epcot, which is almost always our first park of the day. The only exceptions to this are when we drive up after work for a short weekend event of some kind (MVMCP or whatever.)

We always take the first day to just sort of decompress. I guess I've been lucky because our room is always ready. So we like to settle - so our room feels lik home! Then hang out around the resort, swim if we can, play some games and get a good night sleep. I'm usually up half the night before we leave so a good night sleep is critical!

This is our first time goint to disney w/our 3 kids so I think the day we arrive will be fairly laid back (if this is possible at disney;)). We'll arrive shortly after lunch. Once we get to the Poly we'll checkin and if our room isn't ready we'll probably go to Capt Cooks for lunch and then the pool. As soon as our room is ready I'd like to get settled - we'll have a lot of that to do w/abbf crib, wegoshop delivery, pkg that I'll mail to unpack, Betsy's baskets for the kids. We do have dinner planned for CM so that will also be on the docket and of course the ride on the monorail. I might end up unpacking and getting settled after CM and the kids are in bed.
After an early wakeup to head to the airport I want the kids to get a good nights rest as we'll be off to AK (or MK - not sure yet) the next morning!

Happy planning and have fun!

Go to the bathroom! :lmao: We check in and confirm ADRs, then we buy refillable mugs and get extra towels so that we can head for the pool after returning from the parks. If we check in late (after 4 PM is late for us) we'll grab a quick bite before heading to a park. We always save the last day for walking around the resort to take pictures, the last day is usually just a 1/2 day for us, not really enough time for a park visit.

Take some pics of my boys in our room. Maybe sit for a couple of minutes, unpack and then off to MK (usually!). Although this last trip was our first arriving with ME so we didn't have our bags to unpack when we first got to the room, so it was a couple of pix and then off to MK :goodvibes

The last few times our room hasn't been ready so we checked our carry ons and grabbed some lunch. This year we're driving in around 3pm so we're going to drop our stuff in the room then return the car to the Dolphin. After that we'll be headed to Beaches and Cream for dinner. Yum, I can't wait. Only 12 days!!!

I take pictures of the room while it's still clean. If I'm there early enough that the food court is still open (I usually don't seem to get in until around midnight! That's what cheap flights get ya!), I'll grab a bite to eat, and then wander the resort taking pictures until I can chill out enough to sleep!

Depends if my husband is with me. If he is, I, too, run to the bathroom!!! If not, then I check in, grab the KTTK and my DGDs and run to the bathroom!!!
Then we find our room, we usually get to the resort about 2:30 or so from the airport, drop the carry-ons and check out the room and then the resort. We always have ADRs for Chef Mickey the first night so we catch a bus to the MK and take the monorail to the Contemperary (our first Disney Ride!) After dinner, it is off to the MK. When we get back, the girls crash and I unpack as I am still too wound up to sleep!!!

We go straight to MK after we check in and take a few pics of room.

We check into our room (we got there about 3:30pm) then took some pics, organized the backpack (i.e. cameras, money, extra clothes for the kids, etc.), put some cash and credit cards in the safe, then headed to Downtwon Disney. We of course had to go into WOD!! Ate a bit to eat and wondered around for a while. We headed back by 8pm or so for an early night.

We pretty much just drop the bags, take pics of the room if I remember, and head back out the door to the pool or MK (depending on what time we arrive). LOL

I confirm my ADRs a week or so before we leave and I'll have my custom maps from Disney.com packed with my ME info. I'll check the times info on Steve Soares' website before I print my spreadsheet & plan cards. That way everything is ready and I don't have to think about anything more serious than sunscreen and camera batteries while we're there.
