I am looking at next years trip and want to do a spring trip. What is April like? If we avoid Easter are the crowds manageable? We will have DD who will be 2 1/2 at that time. What is the weather like? Does anyone know when Easter is in 2007? Sorry for all of the questions.

Don't forget about the large Spring Break crowds.
March and April dates vary per school.

I thought about that too, I was thinking most Spring Breaks were in March and maybe the first of April, but I could be wrong. :ssst:

We went March last year and flew back home to the UK on the 27th Easter Sunday.
If you go in April I am sure the crowds will not be too bad at all, and the weather should be perfect also, it does not get really hot until the middle of May onwards.

Late April through early May I think is one of the best times to go.

Bumping and subscribing--More opinions on April 2007?

Late April better?

My family is thinking about going during Spring Break of this year. It's sort of a last minute trip but we really need our Disney fix. I know that its crowded but how bad it is, really? :confused3

I was there April 2003, and it was crowded, but certainly not unmanageable. It was spring break for our schools that week, but it varies so much state to state, and school to school, that you aren't likely to get EVERY school on spring break any week in that time period. However, I have to say, this opinion is from a woman who doesn't really get that frightened of Christmas crowds...I've been twice during Christmas week, and as long as you have a plan, and make ADRs, and go early in the day, you won't have too many issues. Spring vacation is SO much easier than Christmas! AND, you can use the pools more frequently...temps for us were in the 80's. Actually, my DH complained that it was too hot. Truth is, my DH complains about everything, all the time..........

Last year we went 2 weeks after EASTER and had the best time!! It was crowded but sooo manageable. We didn't wait more than 20 minutes for any ride. We toured early, rested in the afternoon and went back for the evening. We also use fastpass to our advantage. We had such a good time last year, we are going 2 weeks after Easter this year too. Hoping for just as wonderful a time as last year!!! Good luck. :bounce:

We're going down April 1-6. DH has a conference at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.

I'm not even sure if we'll hit the parks or not. It totally depends on the crowds - if it's too crazy we won't go to the parks. So, my fingers are crossed for low, low crowds in early April.

We have been every year at Spring Break for the past 6 years and it is crowded but manageable. My suggestion is to go to the parks early and stay until around lunch time, take a break--go to the resort and swim, and then go back after dinner. We have also taken advantage of the EE nights and have really enjoyed them.

April is fantastic but I would stay away from the Easter break week. We usually go at the end of April beginning of May, can't beat it for weather and the crowds aren't too bad!

Many New England schools have the third week of April off for spring break. It does not go with Easter, it is always the third week of April. And New Hampshire schools will have the following week off. The third week of April will be crowded with people from New England, but since it is after Easter it should not be quite as crowded as the previous week.
