What is a reasonable character goal?

I will be at MVMCP for the first date on November 13th, so I can give a character report right away!

Yay! Hopefully there's some new ones, but the ones we need are Snow Prince & Scrooge.

Also, where did you get your Darth Vader clip art? I need one, and also Storm Trooper.

We are going next week - hoping to add Tarzan, Jane, Mr. Walrus, Clarabelle Cow, Horsecollar Horace, Abu, Bullseye, Princess Atta, Bert, Mary Poppins, Mushu, Jiminy Cricket, Brer Rabbit, Frollo, Jose Carioca, Maleficient, Panchito, Phillip, Snow White Prince, Prince Charming among others.

We work hard with our kids (8,3,1) to find many characters as well as ride the rides, but they really enjoy it. It's all our 3 year old talks about. We are envious of Hugsforeeyore for all the ones on that list, but it gives us a guide for what is possible.

Hey! I got Darth Vader from a search on google images! I just made the Darth Vader page, as up till now I pretty much ignored the Star Wars characters (bad me!). I considered them "non-Disney" since they were only part of Star Wars Weekend. Well, had to "redefine" them since Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper have been seen at MGM on regular park days! So now I also have to find a Stormtrooper clipart and get him on my site!

I am already getting anxious since I will be going into the November 13th MVMCP with no prior trip reports to guide my character hunt! Oh well - I'll be running all over the park checking every popular meeting place! It will be fun!

Sorry I make you envious! I have a slight advantage that I started character hunting in 2003, when there were more rare characters out and some different ones, too! And I had help for many of the characters from fellow DISers here - can't thank them all enough!

Actually I am quite jealous of you - you are the ones who found Gaston! I assume he was some sort of "test" character at that time - I keep wishing he would actually get out meeting so I can add him in!

As far as Gaston, we got off the train by Mickey's Tent and were heading to Minnie's house - he just walked off the sidewalk (no one was paying any attention to him) and asked my daughter if she wanted a picture with Gaston. I fumbled through my camera bad while my daughter was getting the autograph. I ended up with 2 pictures. Something like 30 seconds after we took the picture, there was one of those surprise Florida rains - he went inside and never came back out. It was kind of weird.

We considered them "non-Disney" too, until we stumbled upon them a couple weeks ago.

I was surprised that DD8 even stood in line for them - all she knows about Star Wars is from Star Tours. We were too late for Darth Vader & were told that he might be back in an hour - she wanted to be sure to be back in time. This is the girl who was relieved that Capt. Jack wasn't doing meet & greets at MNSSHP because she didn't want to get close to "that scary dirty pirate"! The timing for DV might have made us miss finding the Cars, so I asked her if she was sure - her answer was "Yes, that big black guy doesn't normally come out!"

I know how you feel about not having a party report first! We did the 2nd MNSSHP last year, but didn't have internet access to read reports from the 1st, and I ended up missing a few that I should have tracked down.

Have to agree with HugsForEeyore - Great List!

We were there 9/26-10/3, and saw Mary out several times. At MGM Hat around 4 & 5, and behind the Carrousel (I can never spell that right ) one afternoon. Hope you find her!

I'm pretty sure (but not positive - the trips just seem to blur together) that we saw Mushu at the Hat too, and out front at AK.

Please give a report when you get back! Especially if you find the Snow Prince.

Thats weird i never thought of having a goal, maybe i should i just try to get the ones i do not have, and that i might have a chance of getting like Scrooge.

So i guess i am happy with what i have But disney sometimes likes to change things up like with Jose and Panchito. A month ago no one ever thought these birds will ever come out and now they are coming out every day.

Back in June over 4 days I came up with about 40 new characters. All in all I think I ran into 50-55 characters. Then there were at least 10 others that I just missed or really had no interest in getting a photo with (at least not without the kids, ie: the Power Rangers, Kim Possible and Ron Stopable {SP?}). I was next in line for Mr & Mrs Incredable and Frozone then they had to go on their break (I think right afterwards the CM realized I was by myself cuz she gave me on of those I didn't realize looks). I had already met Mr & Mrs on the last trip, but Frozone wasn't with them at the time. I guess thats part of being a 36 year old 275lb guy who stands in line by himself to greet characters.

We are going again in Nov of '07. This time with the kids, so I'll probably get a few of those I passed on last trip. However, the kids will be 5, 3 and 1 so I don't know how many lines I'll really get to stand in.

Last trip I went with really no plan as to where specifically to look for characters. Next year I'll definatly go with a plan, especially for MVCMP. Last year I had no idea of the characters there. We just happened to run into Jesse and Bullseye. I heard after I got back that Abu was in Adventureland as were a few other characters scattered around the park.

I just wanted to see if you could put them up so that we can help you find them . but it will take too long to type up. Also i talked to a cast member and they told me that at 4:15 pm at mgm random characters come out in front of the hat. It is not on the schedule but she says at that time anyone can come out because it is up to the people there to pick who they want to be for the day. I did not make it, but i have heard on this board that people have seen bert, jafar, frollo, the penguins the queen and many others at that time at mgm.

Remeber for the rare ones like brer rabbit, kermit and darkwing you should call guest relations or go to the ones at the park that will help you alot. Also i wont hurt to ask about the not so rare ones like prince john and cruella. Have a great trip

About guest services, so i don't waste any theme park time, is it open when main street is open before the park offically opens? Where is guest services anyways?
