What is a must pack item for you???

I am beginning to plan our fist trip home in May. I would like to know from veteran DVCer's what things do you pack to make your stay more comfortable in the villas. Thank you for your input to my packing list. I probably will need to rent an owners locker when we are done with this first trip.

Extra laundry detergent. I also bring my own liquid soap container. I hate bar soap.

Coffee, filters, Splenda, detergent, Oxy Clean, Downy, Clorox Wipes, Ziploc Bags, and candles. I'm sure there is a lot more. But that is all I can think of off the top of my head. Of course clothes and toiletries. But I'm sure you already have that covered.

It's a travel clothesline, made out of surgical latex tubing. It stretches up to seven feet, is easy to secure using the loops at both ends and doesn't need pins or clips to hold wet clothing (the latter are held by tucking their edges into the folds in the line). One of these is invaluable for drying bathing suits in the bathroom while out at the parks or overnight. I've also found them to be great for that purpose on cruises.

Since learning about this on the cruise board and using it on a cruise, we take this with us on every visit. We hang it over the bathroom door and put lotions, shampoos, razors, bandaids, medicines, keys, etc.... virtually everything that would otherwise sit on a countertop taking up space. Actually, the one we have now is a mesh see through. Very helpful in staying organized and tidy.

A pop-up hamper. This is something that I never would have thought of before, but I spotted one at a dollar store right before our last trip and got it to try out. It was so much better than a laundry bag which is what I had been using and it folds flat to about the size of a frisbee.

As an added plus, my kids liked playing with it when it was empty!

Where do you put this? The shower areas already have zip cord type lines for hanging things. So I just wondered where you attach this?

We usually stay in a BWV BW view 2 bedroom, which is configured like the below:

Off to the upper left is the diagonally split master bedroom bath. The cord usually runs from the light fixture above the shower-side sink to the upper towel bar next to the far right edge of the shower door (a distance of about eight feet). Frankly, because of the loops at each end, these can be installed anywhere you have at least one wall fixture that an open loop can slip around. And they hold more and heavier items than the built-in shower lines.

You are correct. There is a corkscrew in the room. Although, I'm not sure about in a studio. We've never stayed in one. Thanks for the travel clotheline advice. I think I will pick one up for our next trip.
